This beach wasn't that impressive to me, but it was still fun with nice sand and waves. There was a wide diversity of people. It was nice to see that
Parking was tricky, but we did metered parking super close to walkway. Waves were fun- kids loved it. Great shelling at low tide and saw jellyfish. Nice to walk to shower behind lifeguard station and rinse off bf going home. Crowded but plenty of room to "spread out and find your own section"
we were here for the day had breakfast. The water was a bit cold but there were some surfers nice view for sure. The beach was clean and not crowded not sure if its because of time of year or not but I liked it.
Nice Sandy beach. Big waves...a surfing haven. Nice beach for walking. Nice hotels and condos to see. Can rent cabana's, chairs, and umbrellas. Also, can rent in town scooters, Minii- cars and bicycles. Close to shopping and restaurants. Very windy and chilly coming off the beach. Would have been nice if the weather was warmer. It was cold and chilly the week we were there.
Visited here March 10, 2015 from texas. Wonderful beach. Clean. Easy access. Would highly recommend .
It is a lovely little slice of old Florida, with unique shops and restaurants. If I had more time, I would have liked to check out the very interesting-looking theater in the center of town.
If you're looking for a quiet comfortable place to spend a few hours on the sand & in the surf. This worked well for us. Rent an umbrella & 2 loungers set-up for the day for $20. Parking is free & there's no other fee. Outdoor shower (just for the sand) & rest rooms are available. The Ballpark in Vieira is less than an hour away, so this worked great for a late afternoon game, while staying in Orlando.
Even during Spring Break, this was a great family beach! There is tons of wildlife, including birds you have to warch out for.
We were on NCl Breakaway stopping in Port Canaveral on March 3rd. We love the beach and was dying for some heat so we decided to go directly to the beach. The beach was nice, not much different than Dewey Beach Delaware as far as sand and water color. It was a great escape from our Northeast winter though. The air temp was 75 however the beach water was too cold to go into. On our way back to the ship we stopped by the Pier to pick up some people. Now that is where we should have gone to. Next time that is where I will stop.
Cab 888 services the Cocoa Beach area. I found them through an internet search, when seeking a service for our overnight stay before our cruise. I contacted them via their website, and got a quick reply to my request for dinner transfer from our hotel to dinner. Traci, who always replied to every email, gave me a price of $2 per person one-way, which was a nice deal for us. Traci helped me to arrange all of our trips in advance by email with her, and did not require a deposit upfront, a very nice feature of the service. For our dinner transfer; They sent a van that could transport 7 adults and the mobility scooter. They dropped us off at the Florida's Fresh Grill, and picked us up from in front of the grocery in that strip mall. The driver was a few minutes late picking us up, but it was at the busy traffic time. And, the driver, Charlie was great. She helped load the scooter and took good care of us. I used them the next day for our transport to the cruise ship terminal. They provided us with a non-stop, private transfer at just $5 per person, which was outstanding. That driver arrived on time, and loaded all of our bags and helped load the scooter also. We were very pleased with the service, as we know that finding reliable taxi/shuttle service in the Florida port cities can often be a real challenge. I would use Cab888 again, if we were to sail from Port Canaveral. Our experience was a very good one with Cab888. Making our evening in Cocoa Beach, very stress free.
