Not the Wobbly Barn I remembered. I'vve been skiing at Killington for over 25 years, and the Wobbly Barn was an annual stop. The place was empty; however, the hostess refused to seat us until our entire group had arrived. She suggested we go sit/stand at the bar with our 10, 6, and 1 year old children. The bread was burnt, the salad bar was lame, and the hostess was rude. I'll never go back to the Wobbly Barn again.
A perennial favorite of ours, the Wobbly never disappoints. The food downstairs is great, but the fun really starts after dinner when you move upstairs. They have great live music and the place is always "rockin"
If you're a surf and turf fan this place is for you. Steak, prime-rib, crab, lobster. The bar was also stocked with a nice variety of craft beers on tap!
We came here as a last night treat as we knew the place was a little pricey. We were't disappointed, excellent food, wine and overall experience. The salad bar is really good, lots of choice! My steak was superb, I had the oscar. After dinner there was a live country band playing in the upstairs bar that we were allowed to go listen to. Overall, we'd definitely go back even though its on the pricey end of things!
Wanted to dance but the so called dance floor is full of people just standing aroundwith drinks. The bar tenders are soooo slow, unless you have a lot of clevage or area guy dropping a lot of cash. Music was ok, Pickle Barrel will be my night club choice.
This place is known for its steaks which were pretty good, but I thought was a little more $ than what I wanted to pay. We had ribs, which were kind of tough, a steak which was too rare for a medium (should have sent back) and a pork dish which was good. Unfortunately, their website menu doesn't print the prices so you have to call or show up then decide whether to stay or not. They offer a salad bar, but this is also ala carte. For what they charge for meals I was hoping they would have included a salad or soup. Probably would not return if I had my whole family (6) with me.
Everyone seems to rave about this place but it was average. For somewhere that specialises in steaks, the steaks were OK but nothing special. On that basis, they were overpriced. Good atmosphere though and, to be honest, there's nowhere else to go!
good food, we liked the steaks and scallops. it was little expensive but tasty.
The salad bar and bread and soup bar was so good and just what I wanted after skiing. The steaks were good and is what I would expect for the money - but the atmosphere didnt scream fine dining. It screamed cozy family place - so I dont mind spending that kind of money for good steak but I expect to be somewhere nice while i do it - not in a barn. The soup was great though. And other then the $120 for 3 steaks and 3 salad bars and 3 waters, it was good. I would go back and skip the steak and get a burger and salad bar.
Just recently got back from a trip to Killington and had such a bad experience at the Barn I had to put it on paper. The staff and over inflated bouncers were extremely rude to myself and other guests. I'm an adult and was treated just the opposite by egotistical buzz cuts.. Please don't support the Barn and maybe they'll hire some staff that caters to their guest. Join the movement, "Close the Barn"
