Dean Castle and ground are fantastic and beautiful The castle has a great tour guide and youcan explore the medieval keep and the music room has a vast array of instruments. there isalso a dungeon to see and great fun for young and old. The grounds are beautiful, with lotsof wild life, squirrels and deer and a great duck pond. A great children's adventure playgroundand cafe too.
Went for a walk on a chilly Sunday afternoon. Lots of parking. Free to walk around lots of diffrent routers. Great wee animal section and plat park for small and bigger kids! Will def be back to pass a few hours!
I was recommended this Park to visit with my kids by a friend. We visited during a school holiday in February.Overall we all enjoyed our visit with lots to see and things to do. I was surprised that the park seemed fully open since it was mid winter with lots of animals out and about.Kids enjoyed the play area and were happy just to roam about in the woods.Only gripe I have is that In my opinion the cafe is over priced. I would suggest a pack lunch if weather permits. We will definitely return maybe in the summer months
Dean Park is a great place to walk around when it's cold and frosty. The park is very well kept and the design of the paths give you the choice of a long hike, medium walk or a short stroll. Put on your wellies and wrap up for the big walk around the castle and treat yourself to a nice cup of tea at the cafe. Mmmmmm, winter.
Lots of great things to do like explore a castle enjoy the animals or let the kids run wild in the playgrounds. During the summer months they hoist things like car shows etc and there are lots of beautiful walks. All this is for free. When you are done exploring there is a tearoom to rest your weary legs .
