so much fun for all types of people!!! the animals are adorable and so tame. I'd definitely go again!
This site is a totally unexpected delight. Just minutes off the highway with lots of parking available, it is well worth the stop, even a destination in its own right. We had four little ones with us. They all had a chance to hold a joey (young kangaroo) in a pouch. What a super photo opportunity!. There were also larger kangaroos grazing about as well as other unusual critters. Don't miss the birds at the northern end of the farm. Parrots will perch on your outstretched arms. The favorite for some of the boys was a sugar glider (like a flying squirrel) that jumped onto his shoulder. Admission is by donation. It is well worth a good donation to sustain the operation.
Its a small far yet there are so many different animals and a great set up that it seems to take forever to get through!
Loved that we were able to hold on to the babies "joeys" in little pouches and stroke their soft fur! Just a few animals, but my grandaughter just loved it! There are bunnies, pot bellied pigs, goats/pygmy goats, Peacocks, chickens and lots of kangaroos!
This small but engaging place in Lake Country has a number of kangaroos that you can interact with: our grandchildren had a wonderful time!
This will be an annual stop for visiting family members - they all love it. Amazingly clean and well-operated, it's a little secret in Lake Country.
We have visited this farm several times this past couple of years and each time, they are as good as the first. A good selection of friendly kangaroos and other great kid friendly animals. The owners/staff are very knowledgable and obviously are very passionate in what they do. Well worth the trip and stop. The animals look well cared for. One thing that also stands out about this farm is the fact, that there is nothing commercialized. It is a plain and simply display of the animals and nothing more. This is like a breath of fresh air. There is no fee for this farm, however there is a donation box on site that simply goes to the care and well being of the animals.
We stopped here twice on our last trip. Weekends are busy, mid-week less so. Really amazing experience to hold a Joey, and even feed if you are lucky enough (at 1:30). Staff is top tier, answered all our questions, very friendly! Will go back for sure!
Admission by donation but open to all families. We spent four hours with my grand daughter here and she was delighted the entire time. Feeding wallabies was her high point.
My wife and I visited the farm and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff were exceptional and explained the various animals on the farm. The ability to get up and close with all the animals was a treat. Highly advise a visit to the Kangaroo Creek Farm.
