We shared the 7 beer tasting and had fun commenting on the various IPAs. We preferred the stouter beers. The root beer was greatly enjoyed and we ordered some pretzels and mustard to go with the beers. The band outside on the patio was excellent, especially the fiddler. Warm family atmosphere with several groups on blankets on the grass around the perimeter.
Love the variety of beer and the staff were very friendly. The assortment of micro brews will please everyone. Got a bowl of pretzels and mustard for dipping to go with our beer. A fun place to have a few beers. Live music on Saturday night
We passed on the tour. However the bar area was good. A decent amount of choices OR you could have a sampler of 6 beers. We got a growler to go...and for ONLY $10! Food is not served...however they have a list of places that will deliver to the brewery.
If you like "hoppy" beer, Tyranena is a pint of paradise. The IPA is the best anywhere, the rest of the year-round offerings are outstanding, the seasonals are great, the labels are creative and usually reference local legends, and they make a fine root beer for those who prefer a non-alcoholic option. They get big points for paying for a fun variety of live music from the region's musicians (no cover) on Saturday nights year round and Friday nights in the summer. Major bonus that they encourage patrons to use their surrounding green space in the warm weather. You can even bring a picnic - or take-out from a local restaurant - and hang out on the patio/lawn. There's a great sense of community, inside and out.
We were in the mood for a low-key night out not too far from our bed and breakfast. We're so glad we found this place. We did the tasting sampler of all of the beers they had on tap at the time. For the price, it was a great value and the beers exceeded my expectations. Cool, cozy atmosphere and they even had a few board games that guests could play at their table. The pours were pretty heavy so you could probably split the tasting among two people. Or if you're like us, just order two and have a DD :)
Like: Beer selection changes from time to time with some additions they don't bottle. Friendly local crowd, generally quiet and relaxed.Dislike: TV's are on football, but they play music rather than have the sound on for the game. I would be there more often if the games were on.
They have great beers year round, but I really enjoy the seasonals. They almost always have a large selection to choose from and there is often something different. Most of the bartenders are fun and helpful. Free, live performances Friday nights during the summer and year-round on Saturday nights. Bring your own dinner and make an evening of it listening to good music and drinking a great beer.
Tyranena's beer selection is varied and excellent. They provide a cozy atmosphere indoors and, during warmer months, outdoors. Live music on the patio makes it a great place to meet friends and enjoy summer.
I recently stopped at this brewery with friends for a club meeting on a Friday night and we had a blast! The patio was perfect and we grilled steaks. The beer was wonderful, especially their limited edition brews which were absolutely delicious! The bartender was very nice and we met some really nice people inside that were having as much fun as we were. Great place to visit if you enjoy craft beer!
A couple things makes this brewery a different place to visit. #1 it is all about their beer. They do not serve food, but you are welcome to bring your own or order some local fare to be delivered. Also, it's family and dog friendly (assuming your dog is friendly!). Best time for the family is on a nice Saturday evening when they have live music on the patio. Bring the gang, the kids and dogs play on the lawn around the patio while you have a beer and enjoy some blues, country, bluegrass or similar music. I reccomend bring your own lawn chairs or blanket and if you want they have a grill that you can use to cook dinner.
