This is a course where you can score pars on almost every hole. Very interesting course with GPS in carts. Best value is with their summer membership at $35 for 1/2 year. Friendly personnel.
Good food and service and price was right. We were there to play golf. Food was good and price was right.
I have played this course about 15 times and it never disappoints. Carts have GPS, which is a big plus. Staff are very nice and professional. It feels a lot like a country club without the snootiness. The holes are varied and offer a variety of challenges. If you can shape shots, this is a very fun course to play. Greens are always in good condition, though the pin positions can sometimes be infuriating! Some are small and/or difficult to reach if you end up in the wrong place on the fairway, so it's a course that really makes you think. If I play to my handicap (15) on this course, I feel like it's been a good day. 18th hole is a great finish to the round and, on a sunny day, you can sit on the bar's terrace and watch others coming home. Probably my favorite course in Palm Beach County.
I have played this course many times. Several years ago it was bough by new owner who renovated the course and updated the cart to include GPS. This is a nicely laid out course with a nice mixture of relatively open fairways with dotted sand traps and a few waste area/cart paths. The greens are generally in good condition except for the summers when they punch the greens. The fairways are nicely trimmed. There is alot of water that comes into play and I have lost more then my fair share of balls there. Overall this is a solid course that has very competitive prices. I would recommend.
Great course in good shape, with nice GPS. The staff is very friendly, especially Mark, he is the man. Join their email list for great specials. Just added foot golf, I have never tried it. Course is in good shape. Greens are in good shape and roll true, but are very slow. Overall one of my favorite courses in the area. I love playing here. Food is also pretty good and well priced.
On our semi-annual trek to Florida we were looking to golf in the Boca, Lake Worth, Wellington area. We have a couple of favorites that are always pretty good. This year we found Atlantic National and are we pleased. For now, this IS the best public course in this "land of golf". The greens are incredibly smooth and challenging. The course is in outstanding shape. Course management is important on this one as there is a fair amount of water and several dog-legs to negotiate. But the fairways are wide. Watch the hole "fly overs" on the GPS (yes the electric carts have GPS) and pay attention to the yardage marking. Don't "go for it" if you can't clear the distance. The price is very competitive if you book on-line and you will find it even less expensive than other courses in the area - which is really amazing. Played it twice in 3 days and would not hesitate to do it again. Course easily plays in approximately 4 hours.
We came to south Florida to visit family and played Atlantic National. When we arrived we discovered we were there on the wrong day. Something happened that has never happened before in my life playing golf. Mind you this was a Saturday and it was busy. Even so they made room for group to go out and play. The entire staff was so friendly and accommodating, we had the best time. The course was in just great shape and really set up well. We will definitely go back if we are ever in the area!
My wife and I played the Altantic National golf course and we really enjoyed the course, it is a good challenge on few holes, open, clean and greens were in good condition for the time of the year. My only disappointment there is no shower ; we were on our way to the airport after the round and the kitchen was closed at 16:00 hres, we had to go somewhere else to get a bite. They offered us some hot dogs but I wanted something more qualitywe played the round in about 41/2 hours....which is okThe staff was friendly and great. We will go back in a future trip
I have reviewed the golf course before but I need to let everyone know again what a perfect place not only to play golf, but to have lunch, dinner or better yet have your next event there. We had our golf league Holiday Party at the restaurant and they all went beyond what we ever expected!!! Delicious food from the first course to the last...The staff is awesome...everyone included!!!
Played at Atlantic National last week on vacation. I was very pleased with it and it was a very good find. Course was in very good shape. Fairways, tees, and greens, all nice and green a full. Greens ran a little slower than they look like the would but were smooth and true. Staff was friendly enough. The layout is old school Florida. Relatively big fairways and a lot of big sand bunkers and water. The front seemed to be easier to me than the back. The amount of water on the back really picked up or at least I managed to find more of it. Its not a terribly difficult course and its fun to play and has some very interesting holes and it wont beat you up if you hit decent shots. If you get wild then you will find plenty of trouble. One other word of warning. Most of the greens are very big, undulating, elevated, and surrounded by deep bunkers so club selection on your approach is very important. Pay attention to the GPS in your cart because the course is not very well marked. Go play here, its a good deal and a nice course.
