I love this beach, even more than the South Beach in Miami. It's more intimate with the family coziness.
I've been coming to this beach since I was a kid and always return excited to see what has changed and what remains. The best parts are always here! Extensive sun, sandy beach in all directions, nice walkway for jogging or walking and then there's the people watching. You will see all sorts of regular folks and lots of strange stuff too. Yesterday we met a nice man with giant Iguana named buddy. A fashion parade beyond words too. Stop for drinks at a cafe along A1A and take it all in.
Gorgeous wide sandy Beach. Fantastic restaurants along entire strip. Big enough area for huge amounts of beachgoers. Close cheap parking
love this shopping area and restaurants..so trendy and clean..after eating in the bistro in the olas section we than took the free shuttle down to beach and spent the day there waiting for our flight ! cant wait to go back and spend some more time there!!
Coming from the west coast it was hard to grasp the beaches on the east. They are not as clean over here but did find Ft. Lauderdale beach was very clean. They comb the beach and they have a nice play area for kids. Plenty of seating and room for beach activities. Truly enjoyable and the water is always warm. Friendly coast guards and information.
This Beach is impressively clean, and maintained very well. It was not too crowded whenever we visited during our early morning walk, and then later at night after dinner. We loved the Huge Castle built out of recycled material. Next to it there is "Photo Frame". You can stand in it for a Souvenir Picture of yourself in Fort Lauderdale. The low Wall that runs from one end of the Beach to the other, just on the other side of the sand was great to sit on and relax at the end of the day.Right across the A1A there are many amazing Restaurants, Clothing and Souvenir Stores.A wonderful place to see at least once while visiting Fort Lauderdale.
The beach was beautiful. The lounge chairs and umbrellas expensive. There were a few inconsiderate people playing music too loudly; but, overall, not too many "idiots" considering how many people were on the beach.
As beaches go, this was a nice one surrounded by the hustle of Ft Lauderdale oceansideLocation is everything and in this case location is good
Forget the old image of a beach loaded with college kids on Spring Break....that's long gone due to strictly enforced rules. This beach has beautiful sand, great water and fantastic views!
Beautiful restaurant, great food and excellent staff and a wonder piano player instead of insipid recorded music.
