went with friends for FREE luckily one day and walked around , we in our late 20's. nothing much exciting here. dont waste your money unless your taking kiddos
Very nice grounds and visitor center. They have rotating exhibits, many are fascinating. They also have some native animals (that can't be let go in the wild) and provide educational programs about the wildlife.
Much work has gone into making this a place for all ages. Note: if you are a resident with a library card, you can check out a free pass from the library to use for a week. How cool is that? Lots of information on the Shasta Dam. Toytopia exhibit has lots of retro toys, so even if you don't have children, you should check it out anyway! Museum store and coffee shop are also quite excellent.
My husband and I don't have any kids but still found this place to be fun & entertaining. Great exhibits, cool animals, clean & not too crowded. Feeding the lorikeets was great! I will definitely we taking my little nephews here in the future.
Such a quality aquarium with outdoor water play areas and fantastic indoor aquariums. A delightful half day break from the car with kids. We stop here, take a walk over the bridge, spend a few hours at Turtle Bay, eat and then get back in the car on our way to Oregon. Fantastic! Don't miss it!
This is a quaint little museum which has a lot of local cultural information plus good changing exhibits. It is a something for everyone place.
My grand children love this place and so do I! It is always the place they want to go when they come to visit. The Parrot Play House is must see. Do not miss this. The exhibits are changed frequently so never the same thing twice. I enjoy it as much as the kids do.
Part of the Sundial Bridge experience...there is a small aquarium/museum indoors and quite a long trail to walk around the park...and a very large arboretum full of flowers and plants from all over the world. You can easily spend hours here.
one of the ponds along the trail has lots of turtles and usually a egret or two. plus, we frequently have sited bald eagles overhead.
I live in the area and come to the Sun Dial Bridge quite often. I don't take time out to go to the museum, except for this one time. My Korean War Vet dad came to visit for Thanksgiving and we decided to take him to the Civil War display. Warning, do not allow only two hours to see all that there is to see. We barely got started and found out they were closing two hours after we got there. Very disappointing. Next time, we will allot considerable more time to take in everything Turtle Bay has to offer.
