This place is just full of goodies, food, and things to buy. lots of vendors. the hotdogs they grill with onions are the best ive ever had. they have fresh meats, cheeses, baked goods, and seafood also. prices are good.
Be sure to check out the outdoor and indoor produce vendors before making your final purchase decisions. If you like freshly cooked sausage sandwiches, queue up along with 40-50 others at a time, sitting/standing elbow-to-elbow, for counter top service indoors. Wish this market was open on more than just Wednesdays.
Great deal and terrific food. There is a wonderful winery in the building. The farm market is quite large. I was able to get everything I needed. We had lunch there and it was so good.
I like to shop at the kitchen wares shop. After that I go to other places. I buy vegetables every time that I go there. There are a variety of shops. The bake goods are delicious. The pumpkin muffins with raisins on this trip. This has become a yearly trip for me. Sometimes I go more than once depending upon who is going. I travel from Wellsboro, Pa. You can buy candy. One woman bought candy that looked like watermelons , oranges and lemons. I had a piece of one that looked like an orange and it tasted that way. They were selling sunhats, sundresses, dried flower arrangements, and dollar store items.
Great for produce and there are some very good bakeries, meat stands and a fish market as well. Flea market type items are available and a hot dog and hot sausage stand if you're hungry. There are restrooms and plenty of parking, although it gets really crowded in the summer months (and HOT inside!!!). Be aware that it closes around 4:00.
We lucked out- they are only open on Wednesdays! What a fun place to peruse through, I only wish I was at home so I could've made a fresh dinner. We bought some fruit to eat later at our hotel and enjoyed awesome amish pretzels and some yummy cookies. The people were so nice and the foods were unbelievably fresh. (There are fish, meat, deli, and cheese counters as well as all of the produce.) Yummmm!!!
This is a good farmer's market. You can shop at the different booths for the better price of fruits and veggies in one place. Not to mention, they have other vendors that sell almost anything. There is lots of parking. It is a must see. There is no air conditioning in the building.
I get overwhelmed when I go due to the plethora of options. I always leave with just eggs and produce. The sausage is great. The pretzels are yummy. So many cheese and meat options. The candy kiosks are fun. We love supporting the local businesses.
I have been there a the farmers market a few times and there is plenty of things to get, food, clothes, jewelry, baseball cards, blankets. baked goods. there is a variety of things there and some vendors are local business men and women, just trying to advertise their goods. I really enjoy going and seeing what different things they may have. if you like good hot dogs, and burgers and fries, go there, they are fab. and baked goods, and candies.frozen foods, fresh meats. books, clothes, and also people selling things outside. A good place to go on a wednesday. highly reccomend.
We made the trip to market on 8-22-2012 after checking the website and newspaper for time which is listed as 8am-7pm. We arrived to find they closed at 3:30. The outside vendor, altho packing up, did sell us corn. It was a very dissapointing experience since I got no other produce to can and freeze. We were not the only frustrated customers that day to be turned away.
