This little hole in the wall garden is a great place to spend a tranquil afternoon during the warmer months. A bit on the high side pricewise, it's still worth a visit. Go soon, though, since I have read that they lost some of their sponsorship and may have to close if they can't replace.
Please go and enjoy this wonderful Japnese Stroll Garden....my friend was married here and it was an experience to remember.....
take advantage of this wonderful hidden garden. kids love to feed the fish in the pond. parking is easy. they are only opened on holidays & weekends. There are special events such as tea ceremonies. The stroll is perfect for a post holiday morning large brunch.
Happened upon this lovely place quite by accident & after checking it out on the Internet, opted to make a return trip just to see it for ourselves. Well worth the experience. Parking is very limited & children may not be as soothing as you would want them to be in such a contemplative, serene environment. A true oasis for thoughts.
This is a hidden gem on the norht shore of Nassau, that most people don't know about. It is on a side road and had passed it many time but never realized it was there. It is a hilly wooded area with lovely folliage, a tea house and large koi pond.
This is one of the most amazing gardens on the north shore of Long Island. It is serene and beautiful. The tea ceremony is worthwhile.
Pretty Japanese garden in a nice areasNot spectacular but relaxing avd charmingI enjoyed my visit there Would recommend a nice walk around there on a pretty day!
There is so much to say about this place, it's hard to know where to start. If you like to take tranquil pictures, wait till the day is overcast and cloudy- the richness of the colors and the deep greens will astound you. Peaceful beyond belief, you will find yourself letting your mind wander and catch yourself also being completely at ease and the stress of the week leaving your body. Open till about 5 on the weekends and if you're lucky, you'll find yourself alone to enjoy the calm fountains or listen for the wind through the leaves. Water, Koi, and a really relaxing hour or two will make your day feel rejuvenated.
Beautiful and maintained place to spend some positive time alone or with company..The flute makes it an even zen-full experience.. I just wish it even bigger.. Hope to attend the tea ceremony some time..
Lovingly created and meditative Japanese garden created over years by a former ambassador to Japan. Better suited to a leisurely visit - there are no electrifying features but a unified, high level aesthetic.
