Beautiful crystal clear water, great beach crew. Beautiful beachfront walking/jogging trail. Wonderful for an early morning walk.
Other than a lot of seaweed on the beach and the water being rough, I was pleased with my visit here, the beach wasn't too packed and it was clean.
We were very disappointed to receive a $158 Surfside traffic ticket after returning home from a trip to the greater Miami area. They'd used a camera to record our driving through an "intersection," a place marked only by traffic lights that are well past the place they expect you to stop -- completely past a crosswalk and a little side street that only intersects from one direction. (We have checked this on Google Maps and it's really clear.) Compounding the problem, we'd just responded to a sign instructing us to change lanes, really just a distraction to set us up to miss the pseudo-intersection. Be very cautious in Surfside, but particularly on Collins at 93rd Street. There's robbery going on in broad daylight right there!
Love the place, the ocean and the nice golden sand. Quiet place to relax, enjoy the sea and the sun.
The run walkway on the beach is excellent and the sand is clean and perfect for playing in. Great for the single and kids.Far from the main south beach though
Me and my dog lola walk the beach the park everyday the people are friendly we spend at least 2 hour everyday hanging on surfside beach and park plus I live in surfside very area
Expensive if you want a bed and embrella quit and good if you like long walks far away from ocean drive need to take the bus , taxi , are hire a car.
Ideal for watching the surfers or participants in the sea & sun & being-alive experience! Not to be missed.
This is just north of South Beach. It's a little quieter and traffic not as congested. Lots of nice restaurants and shopping and high end bal harbour mall is just up the road a short distance. I found the area on the ocean lacking in retail. There wasn't anything for a quick meal or a coffee. Publix is really nice but it is several blocks from the resorts. Beach is endless, has a nice flat walking/biking trail and there are plenty of lifeguard areas
Surfside has a beautiful, natural (well planted) beach, with walking/jogging/cycling paths and super wide for tad more privacy.
