Can't beat free! Nice place to read. Easy in easy out. Great location. Free parking Set back so it isn't on the main road. Close to Madison Post Office.
I love the Madison Library. It's kinda tucked away on a busy road that most people pass by it and don't know it's there. Actually, the first time I tried to find this library, I parked at this doctors office right off of Hughes Rd because my GPS freaked out. (It's past the doctors and dentist place).Isn't much else to say. They have books. And computers with an hour time limit. And all of their tables have a bad short leg, like every other library ever. And a pretty great selection of DVD's. Recently they also got 4 Kindles with books programmed on there that you can check out. I think that's nice for fast readers like me that look nerdy walking out the library with 10 books.
Nice updated facility with friendly service. We just stopped in to register to vote but we liked what we saw as far as what a library should offer and the facilities condition. Some libraries are old and musty but this one was nice and new or renovated.
Very easy access, good parking space, well organized, usually available computer for searches. Overall very convenient, and fast service.
While the Madison Public Library isn't a vacation destination, it's still a nice enough library. Comfortable, easy to find (even if you're not familiar with Madison), and has free wi-fi. A good selection of books, books on tape/CD, etc.HELPFUL HINT:(1) If you're traveling through and need free Internet access, take Exit 13 on I-565 West or Exit 9 on I-565 East onto Madison Blvd. Follow Madison Blvd. to Hughes Road. Turn north onto Hughes Road and go north for 1.9 miles. Turn left onto Plaza Blvd., just after the Kroger shopping center. The Library is on your right.(2) Be forewarned: the Library closes at 5:00 pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I only visited the Madison Library once and it was to donate some of my own books to their inventory. I found that the people that I had to deal with had somewhat of a negative attitude as if they were doing me a favor to take my own books. I was told that I had to go around the back with my books and unload them through their back door. It seemed like they were doing me a favor to take my books. Never again! I decided not to try to go back and borrow books from them or use their facilities. If you use the facility, it is better not to have any contact with the help.
I went to check out the place. It was very quiet, I wandered around the facility to check it out for what they had to offer. The only time anyone spoke to me was when I was trying to sign up for a card. I guess that is okay...but if you need help you may have to get the attention of one of the MANY people who seem to work there but don't seem to ask if you are in need of help.
You would believe at first glance that this library doesn't have much to offer. You would be wrong. This is a more than ample community library with lots to offer
Nice library, though small, and has a small play area for kids as well. Has a reading room, a kids section, a decent selection of books, movies and music.
Everyone here is super helpful. They have a great selection of books and dvd's. If I need anything not carried here, I just order it online and it is at the branch quickly. Considering their budget from the county, and the number of people they serve, I really do not know how they do such an amazing job!
