Great place to learn more about the migrating butterflies and birds. Staff worked well with the audience on tour. Prepare to spend half your day, at least, during migration season.
This urban nature site is a great birding spot. The native thornscrub habitat is loaded with birds. Small water features are interspersed amongst a half mile of flat, easy walking trails. A must see for McAllen nature enthusiasts!
The winter is such a great time to visit all the nature centers in the Rio Grande Valley. Good weather - normally.
Cheap, beautiful, and fun. Go and chack out the nature center to see many animals, flowers, plants, trails, and the environment. Make sure to take your camera! I was able to get some pics of many animals and plants.
Nature Center, es un excelente lugar para pasar el verano en familia o solo/a ya que encuentras todo a tu servicio y convives con la naturaleza a su máximo explendor y aprendes de esta.
I would be helpful if the main website would share that the nature center is still under construction Hood thing I did not have to travel far.
I have brought my children here when they were young, my neighbor's father brought her here as a child in the 1930's, and the magic is STILL here. The oldest trees are here, the natural habitat for our local and visiting creatures are here. It is a complete eco system that has survived in the middle of a growing city. It has a natural forest, a meadow, wetlands, and all this creates an environment for a thriving, sustainable wild life. The birds amaze me, I even saw an indigo snake and a horny toad, both endangered species, surviving in this natural habitat.
