His is the most blissful spiritual place. One can look for what all one aspires for beyond the physical world. The temples have the peaks of peace, aviary is the best in the world, music therapy is very very unique and yoga rooms are encouraging - staff cooperative, inmates inspiring and the zoo is compassionate - beyond all - the poor feeding, annadana and medical services are world class. I visited Dattapeetham multiple times. Once you are inside, visitors experience a tranquil ambiance. The resonance of Vedic chanting relaxes the mind and stirs the soul. There are may attractions to see at the ashrama, It is the host of biggest bonsai garden, Aviary in the country, Universal prayer hall, School for Veda and Sanskrit studies, giant single stone Hanuman statue and many more. A unique feature of the place is the Dina Stupa or 365 stone pillars that are spread across the ashram. They signify the importance of each day in a calendar year. Be sure to take a picture with your birth pillar while you are there. With all these great features and attractions Mysore Dattapeetham is an ideal family destination to visit and spend quality time.
