We were here this past weekend to see So You Think You Can Dance. Amazing show!!! We didn't buy the tickets early so we had nosebleed seats but there were two screens so we could see a little better. This is our first time in this theater at Foxwoods. It is now called Grand Theater. The one down-side is that we were in line for over 20 minutes and that was because nobody was directing people to the correct way to line up. Not a problem. I just felt bad for the kids that had to encounter the stench of the cigarettes from the casino while waiting in line. Once we were inside, the staff was great at directing us to the correct line and the proper seats. The seats were very comfortable too. The theater is absolutely beautiful and we plan on seeing another show here as soon as we are in the area!!
We saw a concert there and the acoustics were astounding for such a small theatre. We enjoyed the show and the seats were reasonably priced.
We can on Valentine's Day and went to the concert "An evening of love" - great time! I thought my seats (being the more expensive of the 3 prices) would have been better then they were and they kind of sucked. Our necks were hurting at the end of the night.Wish Foxwoods would have had better prices we would of stayed and spent more money gambling and also on food - once the concert was over we had a drink or so and left. The Concert was amazing though and we were happy to be there. We had a great time.
We love the FOX TOWERS. the rooms are quiet with beautiful views. The beds are luxurious and comfy. There is bus service to the other Casinos.
The Former MGM Grand Hotel is now called the Fox Tower. The Grand Theater is basically at the end of the casino. Its a big square box hotel at on side and the theatre is directly opposite it with restaurants and shop on the sides. The only down side it's a smoking casino with plenty of awful smelling smoke smell as you walk. If it was a no smoking casino it would be fine. Watch out for this especially if kids are around.
Was here twice within a week. Saw a music concert and a comedy show. Theater is nice seats are comfortable and enough room from the seat in front of you. Sat in the upper level for music concert. Sound was really good. They have 2 big screens on each side of the stage so you can see performance close up. The only issue we had was while we had no issues exiting the upper level after the show, when we sat in the lower level towards the back for the comedy show. After the show they make you exit the front and don't let you use the back of the theater which makes it confusing and time consuming. Other than that it is a nice place.
Great, small venue. Not a bad seat. Awesome sound and 2 video screens. Staff very helpful in finding your seat.
This is a great venue in terms of seat comfort and sight lines to the stage. As a tall person, I especially appreciate the ample room between the rows. The sound system was excellent and the volume exactly right. The only drawback is that the two big screens are not solid, but divided into nine smaller screens, which broke up the face of the comedian we were there to see. This detracted from what was otherwise an amazing show.
I've come to see 4 different acts at this venue and the acoustics are great. I've also sat in 4 diff areas each time that I have come and all were good views whether close or far. I would def come back to this venue to see another show.
took my oldest daughter here to see seal. the tickets were free, another member benefit. she loved it.
