Paulus is the best in the Fall. Other seasons are good but Fall is great. Go pick fresh apples, visit the pumpkin patch, go on a tractor-pulled hayride, go through the corn maze, etc. Kids love this place and it's a great outdoor activity. I like going now (Summer) for some fresh produce but can't wait to go again in the Fall. There's a good balance of activities that cost money and those that are free.
Visited with family, including a six-month-old. Great place to let kids experience animals in a controlled environment. Much to see, a nice variety of animals to pet and feed. We will definitely be back next fall when the baby is old enough to enjoy it even more.
Cute farm with lots of animals-goats, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, rabbits, etc for kids to feed and pet. Nice, local produce. Cheap prices. Playground for kids. Great field trip for a group!
Paulus is a fun place to take the kids and spend time at the petting zoo. For a fee you can pay to feed THEIR animals, which I think is odd but smart on their part. The produce and baked goods are overpriced in my opinion, but the quality is there.
Each and every year, Paulus grows fields loaded with the most brilliantly colored flowers. Most of the flowers they grow and basic old fashioned flowers. The deal is that you grab a can and a pruner and head out to the rows of flowers and cut what you like. You fill the can for a flat fee. I can fill 5-7 vases with flowers upon returning home. It's a lovely show for the house!
Paulus' is not simply your run-of-the-mill farm stand. They do feature fresh produce and flowers grown on their properties. Their fresh sour kraut is fantastic as is their assortment of cookies, cakes and pies that they bake on the premises. That alone would make it worth the trip, but the education center where young children can learn about farming through fun activities and get up close to chickens, goats, sheep, pigs and some of the coolest Highland cattle makes it a true experience. We attended their fall festival where, along with all the things mentioned, we went on a hay ride, picked pumpkins right out of the field and even chunked a pumpkin! Fun for all ages.
They offer many seasonal family activities. The young ones will love being able to see & pet the farm animals. Produce is top-notch & they also have flowers, prepared foods & candy.
the kids will love to see the animals!! Nice place to spend a little time and have a picnic lunch! Great variety of flowers, vege's, fruits!
Paulus's Market has it all. Local produce, fresh flowers (including cut your own), fresh and frozen deli items, baked goods and children's activities. Second-generation and locally owned.
A really nice local farm, family owned and operated. Lots of farm fresh produce and seasonal fruit. Some home made baked goods, jams, jellies, etc. Yum. Summertime and other seasonal activities for kids and families like hay rides and bbq's.
