The deals here are good and it is never too busy. It is spread out quite a bit so there is a decent amount of walking needed. Good selection of stores and worth the a couple hour drive from Chicago or kalamazoo.
While visiting our son at Notre Dame this year we went to the outlets TWO times. We love the stores: vera Bradley, Brooks Brothers, Ann Taylor, Coach etc. Plenty to chose from. The staff at all of the stores were friendly and helpful. Being from out of town we did not realize there was a 1 hour time difference from South Bend. It was worth the drive.
It has many variety of stores from apparels to candies with various discounts but the prices may or may not be in favour..but even for window shopping its a nice place to hang out and while away time..all brands are under one roof..food choices are limited to subway though..and a few sandwich shops..on a good weather went out for a drive and ended up doing little shopping..You can become a member by signing up for free on their website and will entitle you for a coupon book which can be collected from the information centre..huge parking available..
This is a decent outlet mall but by no means "Premium." Most of the stores are what you would find in a regular outlet mall. I found many great deals though as they were having their pre holiday shopping event. The good majority of the stores were 40-50% off the entire store during that weekend. Parking was a nightmare more than likely due to the huge sales that were going on that weekend. The area around the mall is pretty run down and depressing. If your staying overnight make the short drive to La Porte. La Porte is a cute town and had a much better feel to it than Michigan City. Don't forget to visit the lighthouse in the area. It is very cool!
living a couple hours from this large outlet mall lends itself to a couple of trips a year on a search for bargains...this time around we were disappointed in our experience. Not all of the "outlet" stores offer true bargains, in fact we had gotten better deals at our local mall than the closeout sales the outlets were having at a couple of the stores we were at. The area around the outlet mall is not at all welcoming, abandoned buildings and junk cars do not inspire confidence in your safety. the only place to eat on the property was a pretzel stand, and none of the clerks we asked could provide a recommendation for a decent place to eat anywhere close. Overall, I fear this may be yet another venue slowly dying.
You have a great variety of stores, but no outlet prices. There were 7 adults, 3 kids and we walked out with 3 items. Not impressed at all. I could of found better prices at the mall
The Lighthouse Place Premium Outlets has many great stores to satisfy everyone in the family. Parents can find great values and clothes for their children at Carter's, Osh Kosh, Gymboree and Old Navy. Teenagers will love shopping at Maurice's, Aeropostale, The Gap, Old Navy, Nike, Puma, Adidas and more. Ladies love Coach, Michael Kors, The Loft, Ann Taylor, Tommy Hilfager, JCrew, Fossil, Skechers, The Gap, Dressbarn, Jockey, IZOD, Banana Republic, Famous Footwear, Lane Bryant, Bare Minerals, Bath N Body, Yankee Candle, Wilson Leather Store and more. For the men there is Old Navy, The Gap, Brooks Brothers, Van Heusen, VF Outlet, Nike, Puma, Adidas, Bass, North Face, Tommy Hilfager, Nike and more.Visiting this outlet mall is well worth it. There are sidewalk sales every month between Memorial Day and Columbus Day. The sales associates at the stores are friendly and helpful.
The North Face Outlet is now at the Michigan City Outlet stores!!!! The grand opening was last week and it was a real experience. The employees were all very helpful. The store has plenty of walking around room. It sits in the previous Bass Outlet space so there is plenty of parking very close. Looking forward to visiting there during the upcoming Holiday shopping season
Lots of outdoor mall shops. Some good, some not so good. Of course, you will find what you like. Food choices are typical as well. I'll visit again, if in the area. Just don't bring your girlfriend or significant other. Then it can get expensive...There's also a cigar store across the street. Supposedly there's a brewery nearby too..
First time coming here. Got here at 9:30am parking lot wasn't full yet. Best deal of the day was at the North Face Store, but there are 120 stores to choose from. Most employees were very nice. Went to use public bathroom it smelled like an outhouse! If hungry I recommend Bens Soft Pretzels, best soft pretzel I've had. Over all this place was clean and people friendly. Will need to go again.
