A visit to this store is fun for visitors. This is local produce and you can sample to decide what to buy. There is a wide cheese selection and well as several ice cream choices. Their fudge is very good and the caramels are expensive but fabulous!!!!!
We stopped here to see what they had to offer, and were quite surprised by the variety of cheeses available. We tried an "experimental" cheese with chocolate chips that was actually quite good. I wish we lived closer so that I could purchase my milk and cheese here regularly. The ice cream was quite tempting as well. We can't wait to visit again.
This place looks quite charming from the outside with the pretty red color and all the hanging plants in front. Inside was just OK, but the employees were nice. We bought an aged cheddar cheese and had ice cream cones, all good. We sat outside to eat our ice cream and enjoyed the view.
We stopped on our way to park city and grabbed some ice cream and some cheese curd. Their ice cream is freshly made and they have many different flavors. Their cheese curd comes in many different flavors like Dill, Ranch, Tomato Basil, etc. I have tried several flavors and I like them all
This place is awesome. The samples are incredible- as is watching the whole process. My favorites include vanilla bean, jalapeno, oreo, etc. You just can't go wrong! Looking forward to visiting again soon!
If you are just looking to find a little bit of authentic Utah ice cream, stop no where else. The Aggie Blue mint ice cream is perfect. Fun shop to just drop by and see what they have.
They have a combo that includes a grilled cheese sandwich, soda and chips for $5. The sandwich was sizeable and very tasty.
I was very excited when Heber Valley Dairy opened up a store and cheesemaking operation that is viewable by visitors. Last visit they said they were gearing up to teach cheesemaking classes, and they sell raw milk every day for cheesemakers. They have a sharp cheddar (called medium, I believe) that is excellent and holds its shape while melting. I also made a Greek saganaki (fried cheese, flamed in brandy and doused with lemon, served with crisp pita chips) with a Finn/Lapp cheese called Justalipa. They make it with cow's milk as reindeer are in short supply, even in Heber! They also serve ice cream on site. So next time you're meandering around Heber and Midway, get a nice lunch, stop in a gallery or antique store and stop at Heber Valley Artisan cheese on your way home.
Great ice cream and even better cheese! If you are from the midwest or Wisconsin you will know what 'Squeaky cheese' is. Squeaky cheese is very fresh cheese curds. The fresher the curd the more it squeaks when you eat it. They were very busy as we arrived during the 'RAGNAR' marathon. Dozens of people in a very small store. The service was still excellent and we were given individualized attention. We were given samples of ice cream and this helped us narrow our final selection. I will have to check their website to see if they deliver!
I have known Grant Kohler and his family for three years now. Aside from dedicating many years to local volunteer public service agency's Grant and his family have lived in the Heber Valley for ever. I was excited to see them open The Artisan Cheese Factory. The entire Kohler family has a passion for service and down home living. Suggestion. Try the Garlic Cheese Spread on a good Burger. Toy will need a cigarette after it's so good. All the cheese is original and very good. Thanks Grant and family for all you have done and for all you do for the Heber Valley. D. Joe Knight FF/PM Ret.
