This building is in great shape and the grounds are well maintained. The courtyards are big with lots of history. Not a lot of signage to explain what you are seeing. You would need a good guidebook or a tour guide to fill you in on the details. But the grounds are wide open to stroll around.
This had several types of museums that were very interesting to view. As well, they had quite a few signs about items in the museum that were translated into English making it easy to understand. The park outside of this was pretty too.
a lot of improvements are happening around this sight making it a great visitor experience. The fountain is fully operational and the area around the castle has been converted into a no car zone so pedestrians are safer than other parts of the city.
My kids absolutely loved it here and they both said that they felt that this is what it must have been like to live "back in the day". It is huge and very nice to walk around the areas once you are inside
Very interesting castle that serves also as a museums for various collections. The access to the castle is free and you pay one ticket for all museums within. The architecture and garden are very beautiful and gives a kind of peaceful atmosphere, despite of the numerous visitors walking around. Very nice looking at night with its decorative lights.
I have no fashion sense & I'm not that interested in international business. I only viewed Milan as a place to stay before flying out.But when I found out about this castle, I thought it might fill in a bit of time. It's free if you just want to roam around the expansive grounds, but I would encourage you to spend you €5 & get the ticket that covers all the museums and galleries there. We spent about 4 hours there (& my girlfriend isn't a huge fan of museums, but she really enjoyed this experience). There were signs at the start saying no photos, but every time we asked the staff said it was fine. The one down side (that has been often posted here) were the plethora of African peelers selling rubbish, & locals dressed up in (very poor & ugly) costumes for photos (really, they should get a proper job & it annoys me when you are posing for a photo & they impose to try and insert themselves into the shot & then demand a fee ... a useful strategy is to repeat in a raised voice "security!" or "police!" ... they move on quickly. The castle was an interesting & fun experience!
Fascinating 15th century castle. Leaves you in awe of how industrious and creative people were back then. Free admission to walk the grounds. There is a little amusement park beside it as well as a nice fountain. It was so, so for me.
It's a must! It is just beautiful! The garden is beautiful and the castle is amazing! You can make jogging around the palace, you can walk couple of hours!
