I love Braeben! It's a golf course that's easy to love. BUT you must be able to hit the ball straight … since there's rough that's just off the fairways that will make your ball disappear … It's in good shape … but make sure you're riding or you're in for a cardio workout! Up and down … hills all in the middle of town! It's not overpriced and the staff is always friendly. The greens are large and with the traffic usually need help but… My only complaint are the traps with sand that is NOT up to the standard of the rest of the course! This is a usual complaint in Ontario but nevertheless there is a need for better sand!
this was an old city dump that has been turned into a city owned golf club.. it is very good value and well kept conditions.i have played it a lot and my kids and wife take lessons here
The experience was good and enjoyable.. I enjoyed it too much. I will come back again. Please come to this place for urself
amazing location close to heartland, great and relaxed views of the undulating golf greens, great ambience, but food was typical and average. great for inviting groups to an exclusive venue, but only if you want to serve a ho-hum buffet food.
A public course built on a reclaimed garbage dump with an attempt to create a links-type course on this artificial mountain over the 'Mississauga Plain'.Condition is pretty good for a public course and there is enough challenge to provide interest although when the grass is deep a wayward shot can be punitive and frustrating. As its an exposed area there is a high chance of windy conditions which push you towards the [often steep] outer slopes 1st time i played was in a high wind and although i lost 5 balls in the deeply grassy slopes i found 20.Pace of play is of course dependent on the day.Good value for a suburban course.
This is a very good golf course. I have played a lot of golf, and I love to return to Brae Ben every year. If you only have a couple of hours there is an excellent short course to try. And the food in the clubhouse is very good too. Drop in for lunch.
We hold corporate events here and have had a wedding.Very Nice atmosphere for either type of event. The catering is very reasonable and the food was very good. There have been anywhere from 35 - 100 people at our events and all reviews came back great. It is wheelchair accessible. The washrooms are spotless and very nicely decorated. You can;t get any better at this price!
Played there in July with Friends. Overpriced (we booked mid week at like 10 or something and it was $65 with cart), and despite booking via Golf Now, and their being a free bucket of balls to hit at the range, they neglected to tell that to the other guys golfing hoping they'd forget which they did. Assh*les. Brutal, all about money and laziness, and staff is cocky and not nice. Also, a beer is like $9.00 or something like that. For a tall boy. They are like 2.50 at the LCBO? That's like 3-4 times the cost, like I know they are paying someone to deliver them, still its a lot for beer on a golf course. Golf elsewhere for value. One thing though, the views of the course of Mississauga are very good. That is the only reason I gave it 2 stars. Service and value suck. Btw the course is built on garbage, so an old landfill site. There are vents everywhere.
This was the second time I have been there for a memorial service. Nice and pleasant place with great atmosphere.
