Great valley with red rock walls, ranches and mountain views. You could spend hours here taking pictures and painting all the different subjects as the light changes throughout the day.
Castle rock is certainly worth a look but that is about it for Castle Valley. If you are going to Fisher Towers or the La Sals anyway it is worth the trip.
Drive out highway 128 along the river. There's plenty of nature to dazzle you. You may also see a movie being made. It's a popular location for movies and commercials.
Fantastic colors, formations, views and inspiration for paints, imagination, and word to paper. I was transposed back in time in pondering the magnitude of the beauty that surrounded us. I wish I were an able bodied person as I would have loved to have ventured further.
There are only very few Valleys in the world showing such a nice little own world. It's really beautiful, would like to stay there some days longer!
Lots of wildlife to see. Someone had seen a bear the day before our visit, but we were not that lucky, just Chipmunks and lots of deer. We were told that there was a Cougar in the area but no such luck for us.Worth the trip along the valley just for the scenery
I visited this road during December. Another beautiful drive and fabulous for photographs. Another of dramatically different Vistas all close to each other.
We drove the LaSalle loop over to Castle Valley. A really nice drive.Castle Valley is beautiful and totally worth the drive.
The night sky is amazing, if you want to see the stars, this is one of the darkest skies in America. A great place to view our cosmic neighborhood!
What a beautiful place! Anyone who's ever seen a western has probably seen Castle Valley. The 13th annual Gourd Festival was a blast, lots of creative artwork, all of it using gourds as the medium. Friendly people, a silent auction, and beautiful weather....it couldn't have been more fun!
