Use Moab Tourism Center to guide you through this and get your heart racing! Going straight up and down the formations was such a fun time. Plowing through the water and sand to get to breathtaking scenic areas was a joy of a lifetime.
We took a Polaris RZR 1000 out on the trails. They were great, but really meant for people who know how to ride the more difficult trails. My husband is an experienced driver, so we had an amazing time.
I'm normally not an off roading type of person, but this was one of the best rides i've ever been on. We used Moab Adventures Hummer Safari Tours and they showed us the dinosaur tracks, the best canyon for echoes, and the beautiful Colorado River scenery.
Wow, what a spot to experience in a UTV with a guide. The drive is amazingly fun and a bit scary, but lots of people do it. The view of the Colorado River makes it worth the time and energy and money, if you don't own your own vehicle.
Something you can see and experience as nowhere else in America. The fact that the state is not as regulated as other states is also helpful. Huge respect for tour guides and drivers! Such professionalism you want to see in the places as Hell's Revenge!
dan Mick was our driver for the tour. An outstanding experience. I expected to be afraid but thoroughly enjoyed the ride Dan gave us. The tour was complemented by the narration and stories he shared. There were 4 of us in the jeep and it was okay. And we were all about 70.
Great challenge! But scary. Unless you have something like a modified Jeep Rubicon 4x4 and excellent driving skills, I would pass on this one. You might want to consider a guided tour, with the guide driving a highly modified 4x4.
We are a retired couple travel the states to do some things be didn't have time to do when we were younger. We did Hell's Revenge with a guide from Moab Cowboy Off-road Adventures where we get to drive our own 4x4......holding our breath and cheeks clinched! The views were awesome and the weather in October was great. Highly recommend for all!
We did a 4 hour private jeep tour with Mark Moore (Moab Tour Company) as our driver. He was an excellent, knowledgeable driver that likes to have fun. The entire experience was fantastic. Mark showed us dinosaurs tracks and explained about the area and his many varied experiences. As a matter of fact a motor cyclist passed up just before going down the Camel Back. She paused half way down which stopped us. Mark knew she was having problems. He got out of the jeep and helped the lady walk the bike down where she was able to continue her ride. For fun, excitement and breathtaking views of La Sal Mountains don’t pass this adventure up.
My family and I did this in an afternoon. It was the first time for us to do something like this. It was awesome, great views, dinosaurs tracks, the guides were great and we learned so much about the area and history. Contrary to most people we did not find this scary! Unbelievable what these jeeps can do in terms of climbing. I will recommend this ride very much! We hire Dan Mick's Jeep tours. Our Driver Dan's son was very good, entertaining and knowledgeable of the area.
