Yes. it is a baseball stadium, but, there are other venues in the off season, even in the parking lot. Car shows, RV shows, there is always something going on. Fireworks at a Bay Bears game is worth the price of admission.
Since I was on business in Pensacola from California, I thought I would make the hour drive to take in a ballgame in Mobile. The staff treated me very nice since I arrived 2 hours early. Then the rain came and the ballgame was postponed. While they knew I would never be back all they offered me was a rain check. I am very disappointed how matter of fact everyone was from then on since they now had my money. The Bay Bears should re-consider this practice. It's very unfair.
Great way to spend the afternoon enjoying America's favorite past time. Can't wait to go back for another season.
Convenient, fan friendly stadium. You don't have a bad seat in the house. Worth the trip to see a ball game!!
Great display. I've seen something like this before in Jacksonville, Fl., The lights/colors sincing to the radio station was great. Some people were just driving thru like going thru a school zone w/out enjoying the scenery. At the end is where they try to get you, paying for rides. They need to sell hot chocolate and have something more in the way of food, biscotti, peppermint hot choc. or anything, popcorn/cotton candy. In Jax., they even had an ice skating rink. Definitely worth the ride from Pensacola. It was beautiful, for a first year. The roads to the Hank are dark, not well marked and there are detours. The drive thru was a bit too dark in some places, be careful and the way out was not marked well. Children especially would love this attraction. $6.00 per person. Go......
Enjoyed a friday night game. This AA club of the Diamondbacks has some good talent that I'll be waiting to see in the big leagues. the facility is very nice, lots of food choices and the staff works their butts off to make sure everyone has a good time. If you're in the area, check them out.
We happened upon a Groupon when planning our vacation and are so glad we did. Hank Aaron Stadium is a great park, the staff was very friendly, and the museum was great. We especially loved that it was in his childhood home.
The Baybears are one of the best minor league teams in the country (and have been for years) but Hank Aaron Stadium is way past it's prime. The seating in most spots is raised so you're off the field. It's just not a user friendly park (concessions are downstairs away from the action, concessions are boring and food is sub-par, attendance is terrible which leads to boring atmosphere and there's nothing to see or do before the games)Mobile should follow Pensacola, Montgomery and Birmingham's lead and build a new stadium downtown.
We enjoyed a trip to the ballpark to see the local minor league team, the Mobile Bay Bears, play the Montgomery Biscuits. It was a great game with a nice family crowd. The ball field and stadium area is clean and quite convenient. Nice entertainment!
The Mobile Bay Bears play here and put on a great show. Mike C is one heck of a staff leader and treated us well. Concessions are reasonable and parking is plenty. Have a blast!
