We like visiting places and seeing their various offerings, and this was kinda cool. It's just as described, in a nice little park in town, walkable from anywhere in Montague. We were staying at the Weathervane /inn, and it was right next door.
One of those things you can say that you've seen. Really is an interesting piece of art!! No charge to visit and you can see it from the main road.
The Weathervane is pretty big. Cant believe that its that largest in the world and its in Montague! Haha, but very cool and it adds something pretty to Montague.
It's a big weathervane, yes. And it was neat that it is functional. But I definitely wouldn't make a special trip to see it. It lends an interesting sight to the town and was beautifully made.
Montague is a beautiful lake town - situated on White Lake and right next to Lake Michigan - with a gigantic weathervane across from the harbor. This HUGE landmark is so appropriate in an area where sailing, boating, fishing, swimming, camping and bike riding are such a part of life in Spring, Summer and Fall seasons. The weathervane just enhances the beauty of the Michigan landscape.
This is not something you make a special trip to see, but if you are there anyway you should take a stroll and read the historic information.
This is a seriously large weathervane. If you are in town, stop by. I also like to mention that it does indeed move, when the wind is blowing.
dont go there for the weathervane But walk over and take a look when you go to Lipkas old fashion soda fountain see places to eat Trip advisor's in Montague Now that is worth the drive
I love the weathervane. It is iconic and represents so many layers and aspects of life in Montague. This includes the history, the marina, the artful iron works of a major industry in this small and lovely community.
Not sure what to say. It was just a large weathervane on a small area of land. The traffiic was busy around it so it was not very easy to get to.
