PROS: Lots of animals to see, you can some of them with carrotsCONS: It's fairly expensive, when busy drivers get in the way, no guarantee to see all animalsUpon reading about Parc Omega I hadn't realised that it is, in essence, a winter safari. You drive around a fixed route in a large park and see lots of amazing animals. Elk, watipi, boar, wolves, deer, goats, foxes, bison, and all sorts of others. Many, but not all, come right up to your vehicle as they know they'll get fed. It's fun, whether you're a kid or an adult. There are three walking spots around the park too, which makes for a nice change, and you can get close to the wild deer, that will happily take carrots from your hand (these are sold in the Parc shop). Only disappointment were some drivers getting in the way - much preferred the not-so-busy stretches where everything felt more natural and less theme park - and that we didn't see every animal. Had a riot with the turkeys, but didn't catch any bears or beavers... maybe next time!
Really enjoyed my first trip here. Will spend mire time next time,, which will probably be in summer, not because it will be better then, but just so I can see the park and animals in a different environment. Very cool seeing the animals in their natural habitat, all looking very healthy. Thewolves at yhe boardwalk looked magnificent.Really enjoyed my own experience here, but kids would probably love it!Reasonably priced, value for money.
Nice experience ... cool animals ... a bit sparse in numbers. Drive thru and take your time so you don't miss sightings.
Took my girl friend here for a date. Even during the winter it was quite busy but not too much. The animals walk right up to your car and you can feed them carrots. I suggest brining lots of carrots, go to the store and buy them. Its $2.50 a bag and they go fast. Really great place to take your family, kids or girl friend. Pricey but worth it.
Our son loved the fact the Elk stuck their heads right into the car. Can't get much closer than that. Great for younger kids. BRING YOUR OWN CARROTS!! They sell them but higher $ than at the grocery. There are fences around some of the animals but it was still exciting to see Moose and Bison. Watching the coyotes drool over a group of turkeys on the road was amusing. Especially when cars ahead still tried to feed the coyotes carrots...Would be interesting to see if animals more active in the summer.
This is a very well kept attraction. The grounds are a perfect mix of wilderness and the comforts and safety of a car visit - not too much sterile so the take out the fun, but also not too much wild so as to make it impossible for un untrained person.Kids love it and wildlife-lover adults will also have a great time.Don't miss!
As tourists from Australia we were very impressed with the experience. the interaction with the deer was fun and fabulous. The photo opportunities were unending. The bison, moose and other animals were awe inspiring. the wolves were a highlight.Value for money was excellent we would recommend this to any travellers.
Stopped here on the way to Tremblant on the advice of my vet back home in the UK who raved about it - he was not wrong - it's the equivalent of a safari park but full of indigenous north American wildlife who for the price of a carrot will poke their heads through your car window. Couldn't stop laughing at the antics of the wild boar piglets. It was really quiet when we drove through which gave us loads of time to enjoy the animals and the wildlife - hire car windows needed a good wash to get all the elk tongue slobber off though and watch out for the mountain goats who tried to practice their climbing skills on the car!!!!
Love it every time I go visit these animals, I go 5-6 times per year. They roam freely in their section... Large fields, woods and lots of food for these beauties! Very Enjoyable for the whole family!
There's not too much we can do outdoor during the winter if we don't ski or skate. This place is definitely worth the drive out of montreal. There are tons of animals and we can feed them. It was a lot of fun for two grown up to get close and personal with the animals
