It's my lovely place in Moscow. I try to take there all my guests visiting Moscow. Here you can forget that you are in the modern city, that you are in XXI century...It is the perfect combination of nature and architecture views. Wonderful Russian churches, apple trees (visit it in the end of August and eat apples as much as you can), perfect view on the opposite bank of the Moscow river... Just go slowly trough this place, look around, feel that time is alive...You can read about the architecture, about the history, about cultural events often taking place in Kolomenskoje in the Internet, but you have to visit it to see that the truth is even better...
Nature, history, architecture, landscape, divine - all in there. Beautiful in any season (please feed the wild ducks in winter), great for exercise, little cosy museums, ancient churches and even little hotel in this estate (just never tried the food there, not sure).
The place is absolutely worth a visit whether you are coming from the city centre or from Moscow Oblast. While you are walking around the park both your body and soul rest surrounded by beauty. Fresh air, astonishing views what else would one want to enjoy alone or in a company of friends and family.
This is in the outskirts of Moscow but its worth the trip. Set at leadt 2 hours for this tattraction as its huge! There are parks, ponds, several buildings with museum. There is different entrance and fee for each museum. I really liked the summer palace of tsar, which is a beautiful wooden building with green roof. Dont come here on saturday because there might be a wedding and you wont be able to get inside. Also its on metro station Kashirskaya. Metro station Kolomenskaya sounds right butits much further.
Amazing place, very peaceful and calm. Especially during the Sumer time. I have heard that it's also very attractive during the Winter, but personally I didn't really had a chance to see it by myself. Next time when I'll be around Moscow, this is the place to go, with family or friends. Near by you have some little restaurants, pretty clean, food is decent. Inside you will also find some snack place, but nothing that special. I will suggest to get your own water, if you are about to spend zero amount of money there)))
It is a big park on high hills overlooking the Moskva river situated to the south of the city center. It can be easily reached by metro. You need to get to the station on the green line under the same name as the park itself. From the station it is a 10 min walk to the entrance. The park itself is huge.In the past it was the royal residence with one of the biggest wooden palaces. Now only the stone buildings remain, but they are worth a visit. The highlight is of course the Ascension Church aka the White Column built for the commemoration of the birth of the future tsar Ivan the Terrible. Another remarkable church is situated on the neighbouring hill, Church of John the Baptist, built to commemorate the wedding of the same tsar, as it turned out it was just the first wedding)))They frequently organize children entertainment, boat rides, etc. Nice place to spend the whole day!!!
Beautiful museum.... Worth the visit... Plenty of interesting artifacts....Nice structure....Lovely park around it with scenic lakes....
Fantastic place in Moscow to see. You might spend entire day walking in the park. There are small museums and huge park with ponds.
Huge, close to metro and filled with castles, churches, some crazy other buildings. Rivers, streams, bridges on a hilly bank of Moskva river. Don't miss out!
