This is the biggest factory in the world, and VERY worth a tour on!The price is good, and the tour is really good, as a planeenthusiast that I are, this was just amazing! I am all the way from Norway, and did REALLY enjoy it! Totally worth it, and the factory is HUGE! The guide where funny, and used humour, and telled jokes and so on, his name was Greg, just a fantastic guide, very informative, and really enjoyed his job! Otherwise, as others are saying the sandwiches where dry and to expensive! But anyway, if you are a plane enthusiast as I am, this is the tour for you! Once in a lifetime experience! The museum it self, very interesting, but I missed some attractions such as a B737NG cockpit or a B747 cockpit, maybe a flightsimulator with the real cockpit, so people actually can fly a Boeing jet and see how it is :)
This 90 minute tour is really fantastic if you are interested in aviation, manufacturing, or technology. It is all bundled together in such scale that is hard to imagine - seeing is believing. This is a great example of American enterprise, and very educational. We took the grandkids (10 & 12) and they enjoyed it too.
A well run and executed tour, full of information ans the technology on show was incredible.Cafe food was disappointing - sandwiches stale?,dry and very expensive.
Thank you for your visit and for your feedback. Hopefully you were able to visit the Future of Flight Gallery where you had the opportunity to have your photo taken in the photo booth, view airplane parts and pieces, and to enjoy a deeper dive into what makes each airplane model unique. If you live nearby, we hope you will consider coming back again and we can place you with a different guide. Please contact me to arrange for another tour, on us. sandy@futureoffight.org
If you have any interest in commercial airplanes, do the tour at the Future of Flight Center, about 30 minutes north of Seattle. My husband and I were just amazed that visitors are taken during the 90 minute visit into the massive hangar where actual Boeing airplanes are in various stages of assembly. Along the walkways, displays and videos are set up to enhance the experience; our guide was quite informative when questions arose about the process. In the Center itself were more videos and displays, most interestingly for us the cockpit of an actual airplane that you could sit in, press all the buttons, move all the levers---pretending to be a pilot. Even the gift shop had some unusual items for purchase. A fun way to spend three or four hours! (Hint: although this is a great family adventure, there is a height requirement for the tour. Check the website to make sure your children can participate. Also, no photos allowed on the tour.)
Hard to describe the massiveness of this plant. It was fun to see the planes being assembled. A must see if you are visiting this area.
I have always been fascinated by aviation and couldn't pass up the opportunity to do this while in the Seattle area. The facility itself is a small town all on its own and has the functions of a small town that you will learn on the tour. ***THEY ARE VERY STRICT ABOUT NO CELL PHONES, CAMERAS, OR VIDEO RECORDING DEVICES***This tour was very inexpensive and was well worth the money. Getting to see the history of this company along with the production of the planes up close was a very cool experience. This is the largest building in the world at 96 million square feet and employs over 40,000 people just at this facility. Seeing the 737, 777 and 787 Dreamliner up close was awesome; these planes are just massive!!They were in the process of painting a huge mural as a 100 year celebration when we were there and would love to see it when it is done.Make sure you go though the museum piece as well. there are some really cool things in there including the actual cockpit of a 747 that you could sit it along with some other picture worth aviation attractions.
参观波音工厂和组装生产线,全程禁止拍照。看到了正在组装的747,767,777,787,巨大的飞机在更大的工厂里组装,看得很震撼。外面还有喷漆车间和飞行测试区。
My wife and I took our son, his wife, and their three children on the tour and all were very happy we did. The size of the facility itself is overwhelming, let alone the construction of the aircraft and the amazing technology that is on display. This was our second tour and we will go again if the opportunity presents itself.Everyone was knowledgeable, professional, and courteous.Good Job!
