Had lots of info about this great horse. It looks great on the foreshore and it was a great tourist attraction.
The colouration of the statue is rather unusual but has certainly made this statue a thing of beauty. As it is situated by the roadside, people unable to walk very far will still be within a few yards of it.
Very noice. An honour to see it. Glad I went. Must see when going through and right in the centre of town.
Well worth taking the "old" road to Shepparton via Nagambie to have a look at this brilliant statue of Black Caviar, there are also some nice coffee shops and bakeries to have a snack from a sit and have a picnic enjoying the view over the lakes.
As a keen follower of horse racing I was eagerly awaiting my trip to Nagambie to see the statue of of a true equine legend. The statue did not disappoint at all,the colour of the horse and the jockey silks enhance the overall effect and memories came flooding back of the pleasure Black Caviar gave to so many thousands.Well done to the sculptor,a great tribute to a great champion
Nagambie was the town where Black Caviar was born so this statue is a fitting tribute to an all time great. Located right beside the lake in the centre of town.
The home of the most successful race horse in history. A lovely monument to visit with the beautiful Lake Nagambie view in the back ground.
On a glorious warm day in May we visited the statue of the world famous Black Caviar. She strides majestically past the beautiful lake in the town she called home and we hear, often still does. Akin to phar lap, this Aussie icon is well worth the visit, as is this pretty town on the lake.
I thought the statue of Black Caviar was great. It had all of his races listed on the plaque and rather than just being a plain colour it, the jockey had his colours. Very well done.
They have done a lovely job here. The statue does have a presence about it. To add to this, the background of the lake is stunning, and the landscaping in the immediate area is lovely. For us it was worth travelling the nearly 200kms to see it. Nagambie looks a lovely town so I think we will come back some time in the future to look around more.
