The interior is absolutely gorgeous! Mahogany wood beams support the cathedral ceiling. Breathtaking stained glass created patches of light in every color imaginable. I didn't want to leave.
A nice old church with interesting stained glass and some interesting memorial plaques for long gone Bahamians. A great place to spend a little time relaxing from the hectic (by Caribbean standards) pace outside.
The oldest church in Nassau is worth a visit. It is a quiet stop in a town that can be overcrowded when the cruise ships are docked. Queen Elizabeth is the head of the church and they keep a seat ready for her. The spirituality of the church was evident, and I truly enjoyed spending some time sitting inside and saying a special little prayer.
A very beautiful church to visit and so close to downtown area. Just a few blocks from the Hilton (where we stayed). Very peaceful.
The outside of this church is somewhat plain, with unadorned white limestone. However, inside there are beautiful stained glass windows, a lovely mahogany ceiling and iron chandeliers!
We visited Christ Church on recommendations from this site. It was well worth the stop. Close to shopping, tucked neatly off the main drag, this church offered a nice respite from the harried shoppers just blocks away. The stained glass windows were nice but we really enjoyed the wooden ceiling and the very large pipes from the pipe organ. Well worth the stop!
Really? nothing much here, we couldn't even get in. don't waste you r time. I would rather go somewhere else walking and enjoy the day
Very short walk from the cruise ship terminal.Nice church with beautiful stain glass work. Make sure you sign the book and leave a donation if you are able to.
Lovely historic church not far off Bay Street. This was the starting spot for the food tour we did in Nassau, so it was a great opportunity to step inside.
Lots of history with the church, a real treasure for Nassau. A musat see if you are downtown, easy walk from the jitney bus stop.
