Beautiful historic park in Nashua, NH. Picnic areas, playground, wading pool in summer for little one. Lots of activities throughout the year, such as music bands, Friday night outdoor movies in summer, etc.
Reading the reviews made it sound like a great place to visit. It appeared to be a place for little league, or other team sports. There was a large horse shoe pit with many adults playing. I didn't get out of car, but drove along the road within park.
Always pretty, and scenic. Great for a picnic, walk, or people watching. Sometimes trash people didn't get rid of, but for the most part nice. And always someone selling hotdogs, chips, and soda cheap at the park. Good if you like hotdogs. They have adult porch-like swings on the outskirts of park. They also have plenty of picnic tables so bring people and have fun.
I attended a concert at the bandstand on a nice summer evening. My kids were dancing and happy. It is nights like these that I am grateful to live in Nashua.
Greeley Park, while located very conveniently in proximity to two major accesses to local highways leading to major neighboring cities in NH and MA, offers an opportunity to relax, stroll, and/or picnic and (depending on scheduling of events) entertainment in close availability to the Nashua, NH downtown area. The grounds and the facilities are well maintained. While a local attraction, Greeley Park could very well be a welcomed respite for anyone or a family looking for a place to "pull over" and enjoy some time away from traffic and travel.
Grab so hot dogs and steaks and what ever you like on the grill and go have a great day at a clean places to bring your family and friends.
... A great walk and there often is entertainment at the park. Best for lazy summer evenings. Bring bug repellant and your own food. As I said... and so have so many others.... it is one of Nashua's gems.
It's a great place to have a family picnic or even a wedding which we did. There is a gazebo along with a playground and picnic tables to use. It also has clean bathrooms which are maintained very well.
Have a lot of memories going to this park, my husband and I hung out when we were a couple of hippies, brought our kids there to play, met groups of family and friends there to picnic. Still love to go and walk, listen to music, art at the park, always something going on.
Fantastic park, well maintained, lots for the kids to do and see. The water fountain is a big hit, the swings slides and jungle gym are too. My favorite is the giant weeping willow. This park is well worth a visit.
