We had the place to ourselves, put on a concert with the help of the fabulous Terry Gillespie and the staff/owners at this resort were amazing and wonderful! Beautiful beach, food was amazing BEST LOBSTER ON THE GRILL and the busy bar staff kept us going! thanks to all xo
This place gets better every time I go, now it has the coolest bar on an island off the island. Good snorkelling. Eco friendly and really yummy food! Spend 4-6 hours there or book a place overnight...I will next time! T
A best kept secret! Lots of relaxing, sunning, snorkeling. Hastle free, no solicitors allowed!! Grilled Lobster and snapper for lunch!! Delicious!!!
We love this little gem. $5 to get in and you are on a small private beach. No music or higglers. Very good food at the restaurant. There is a bar sitting out in the water they will take u by boat but water was too rough the day we were there. About a 15 min car ride from Negril
Such a lovely place! The bay is so beautiful and calming compared to the 7 mile beach. However, there are ugly rabid looking dogs running around, lots of little bugs and crap in the non powdery sand. Still worth it.
Had the pleasure this trip to go twice with different friends. This location is just past Rhodes Hall as you head out of Negril towards Mo-Bay. The entrance fee is $ 5.00 to enjoy the tranquility of the beach and they have a few loungers along with restaurant /bar. There is another fee of $ 5.00 each, roundtrip to take a motor boat or house boat or wooden raft out to the Island Pirate Bar. Big plus for the Island bar is a flushing toilet into a holding tank so you can enjoy those few beers along with a tasty lunch cooked on the spot. This is a lovely shaded spot with a great breeze to hang out and chill and perhaps do a little snorkeling. Choice of Lobster/Chicken/fish with rice and peas - macaroni salad and coleslawwww.halfmoonbeachjamaica.com - thank you Tanya - Andrew and Josh for your hospitality!
Very unique location, excellent food, and entertaining staff. Snorkeling was not amazing, but the sunset made up for that.
Stoney beach,no where to swim ,scruffy. The lobster lunch was quite nice.Horrendous journey on cat to get there, everyone sickShould have saved 160$ and stayed in resort with a much nicer beach
Great location way from the noise of Negril, super beach.A great spot to do dive trips from as the reef nearby is really good. However you need to arrange that on your own as they don't offer that.Basic facilities, but a great spot for an afternoon.
Booked a bamboo raft tour, was awesome. $50 for 5 hours for 2 people. Jungle was our guide, I cannot say enough great things about him. Was great to talk to and knew a lot about the ocean and the area. Great sense of humour and super relaxed, top bloke! We rafted out to a small reef and went snorkelling together, we saw a sea snake, angel fish, sting ray and a lobster. Heaps of fish also. Then he took us to a bird island and we sampled a rum drink that he brought along in his esky, delicious!Final stop was an island with a bar, we had freshly cooked lobster and fish on the bbq and had some drinks.Great afternoon, would highly recommend, please ask for jungle, absolute legend!
