We visited all 4 wineries and this was our second favorite. This one had the best tour as they discussed the construction of the building which was very interesting. The wines were pretty good, but I think what propelled this into second place was the tour and the building.
Thank you for the review! We're so glad you had a good time, and we hope to see you again soon!

There are very few wineries in the Williamsburg area and this one is still about 30 mins west of Williamsburg, but is worth the trip! We were very impressed with the large vineyard as we drove up and the grounds were perfectly landscaped and beautiful! The tasting room was very impressive and beautiful as well. We found many reclaimed accents around the tasting room that made it special too.Staff were friendly and attentive and explained all of their wines nicely. The wines they offered allowed us to get a good idea of what they offered so we could make a good, safe decision on what to buy. After buying a bottle, we stayed for a while to enjoy it on a nice, cool crisp day outside under one of their many outdoor heaters. We look forward to returning the next time we're in the area!
The rustic and classic feel of the main house paired with a warm greeting received immediately after entering definitely set the mood for the two days I was at the winery for a wedding. The facility is clean and beautifully kept, and the landscape is stunning. The wines on hand were also very tasty. All who were partaking in the tastings inside the main house seemed to be enjoying themselves and visiting with friends...definitely a great atmosphere!
Thank you for the review! We're glad that you had such a fun experience with Peggy and hope we see you again soon.
The winery has a ton of potential - good location in what is now a growing area of New Kent County, excellent facilities, and close proximity to a high end golf course (which happens to lack a proper club house). My wife grew up about 5 miles from the winery, so we are partial and hope it continues do well. For the most part the wines are acceptable, but not out standing. The Vidal Blanc stands out a a great afternoon porch wine. Given the location, I'd like to see them add more food choices, and some craft beers - great partnering opportunity with Vinaterra Golf Club.
We attended a wedding here recently and had a great time. The main tasting room is very nice and they were able to hold the ceremony down in the cellar because of weather, which turned out to be unique. I didn't much care for the chardonnays or the red wines (dominated by Cabernet Franc), however a couple of the semi-sweet wines like the white Norton were not bad.
My husband and I stopped here on a wedding anniversary trip. We immediately fell in love with this gorgeous building. It is beautiful, inside and out. It wound up being a nice day,so we sat outside under one of their many patio heaters. The wines were all quite good, so it was difficult to choose one that we wanted to enjoy while soaking up the views at this beautiful venue.A must visit if you are in this part of VA!
