SO much fun - LOVED class! Staff is very knowledgable and interactive - flexible to what YOU want to do. Class was definitely hands on with help, of course! Small studio, small class,Huge fun! Can't wait to go back!
I bought my fiancé a groupon to do glass blowing for his birthday. We had so much fun and it was really amazing seeing this art up close and trying it out. To be honest, the expert does most of the "heavy lifting" so to speak but they engage you as much as possible for a first experience so that I think it was completely safe and fully educational. The pieces we got to bring home are beautiful and we will cherish them and the experience we had for years to come! I highly, highly recommend!!!!
I bought class tickets for the 1 hour session for myself and some friends. Although we all felt a bit nervous going in, we were all thrilled coming out! Great staff; from helping to decide what to make and thoughts on color choices to the actual support in getting them made - they explained all along the way. I'll definitely go back!
Is it pricey? Yes, but so much fun. The boys skipped this one and it was just me and my 17 year old daughter. We had SO much fun. Evan was our teacher and it was very informative and an overall GREAT experience. 100% would do this again. I used groupon for some savings.
Took a glassblowing class with 3 others through a Living Social Deal. The employees are all very friendly and explain what is going on through the entire experience. The team lets you pick out all the attributes of the glass piece you are making (we made pumpkins). The whole expereince was only about an hour but it was pretty fun. My friend broke his because he blew on the tube too hard and they helped him start over and ensure he still got a nice piece. Definiately worth a trip.
So far I've taken 3 glass blowing classes and 1 infused glass jewelry class. The glass blowing class gets easier the more you do it. I just wish I could afford to take more classes! Also I found that it depends on the instructor. For my 3rd glass blowing class, we had an instructor named Keith and he was awesome. I highly recommend going with a friend(s). It truly is a fun experience.
I took a glassblowing class in Ny and it was good. BUT, the glassblowing class at Luke Adams is alot more hands on than the other place. I took a 1 hr class, at Luke Adams with a friend of mine in Oct 2014 ( we each made a pumpkins)then jan 2015 I took my 3 sons ages 23,21 and 18 for a 1 hr class they made paper wts and ornaments. Now I am booked for a 3 hrs class with a friend of mine. I can't say enough about the staff and the hands on experience. I love it....and plan on taking many more class.
Had a wonderful time at the three hour blown glass class that I received as a gift. The staff was helpful, super friendly and fun! My pieces came out beautifully.
We purchased a Groupon for a three hour glass and we are so glad we did. Our instructor was Keith Cerone who is extremely knowledgable and talented. You get to choose from several items to make. You can make paperweights, glass bowls, ornaments, tumblers, etc. you get instruction on how the process works and hands on assist in each step in the process. At the end you have two items that you can use at home. I use my tumbler every day. This is a very fun afternoon. We have considered doing it again and making different items.
My friend and I bought a groupon for the 1 hour jewelry class. I had no idea what it would be like but it was a blast. We had no prior experience and were easily able to do it. You work with fused glass to make jewelry (no blowing). Our instructor was great and did not rush us. The groupon included only one project and we paid additional fees to make others but it was minimal cost. The class was $25 each and then I spent another $25 for additional projects but made three things. Definitely going back!
