My sales partner and I hosted a Trade Show for our customers, with local vendors. We were in the Diamond Conference Room which was absolutely stunning. There was a large patio outside with beautiful furniture, fire place, and mini waterfall. The ballroom was huge. We had a continental breakfat in the morning which was great, followed by an Italian Buffet lunch. Both meals did NOT dissapoint. Although I am from PA, I contimplated having my wedding at this location in 2016. It was that nice! Friendly staff, clean, sophisticated. Had a wonferful experience overall.
I have attended several shows here, from the outdoor expo, to the RV show, to the Automotive Testing Expo. It is easy to get in and out with adequate parking. If you are an exhibitor the staff is real friendly and helpful. It is also easy to move around the event center. It is big enough for most events but small enough you can see an entire show without being completely worn out. The bathrooms are kept up and the food concessions have a decent selection. The surrounding area is loaded with shopping, great restaurants, and nice hotels. Overall, I would not hesitate to attend any show holding an event here. A tip on booking a hotel room, book it through the event or event center. They have special deals and even got me free full breakfasts at my hotel that would have normally cost $11.95.
Good place to go when you're looking for a camper and want a wide variety to look at. We have attended the home shows there and also snowmobile show.
I visited the Novi Home Improvement Show at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Michigan. When you first enter for a trade show you have to pay a $5.00 fee to park. The parking lot is quite large and wraps around at least to the right side of the building. Upon parking we saw that there is a hotel that is to the right of the building a Hyatt Place. After entering the building we purchased our tickets at a sales booth ( you can pay by credit card or with cash). As we entered the show people are on hand to collect your tickets. It was a huge room with many rows of exhibitors. They provided yellow and white banner curtain dividers between the different rows. They have restrooms and two different snack bar areas. They serve the usual hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza and chicken tenders. I believe there might have been a bar as well. The floor is concrete but some exhibitors have carpet. All in all it is a large room with the basic amenities in which to host a trade show. I look into the event on the internet and found I could get a coupon to save $1.00 off the entrance fee.
The service, venue and staff are fantastic. Special thanks to Bob and Senior for the wonderful hospitality! One of the best convention centers we have ever worked with and we've been organizing trade shows (four a year) for over 12 years now. Jim, Linda, Don and the Max Yield sales team.
Novi is easy to get to from the airport and from downtown Detroit. The Convention Center is easy to work in. The team are efficient and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. I would definitely recommend bringing your expo here.
The parking lot is small. Brand new automobiles (I didn't come here, to buy a car) are parked, right next to the door. Thank God the the Hyatt is built next door- I don't think that I would want to host an event here, unless i was staying RIGHT HERE.
We were so excited to attend the Model Train event and had a good time . The Showplace is a wonderful place but sadly the workers are no so great. They were so rude no matter what area we were in from passing by the wedding events to any emploee that we had to deal with . They made us walk out of the building in nearly zero degree weather without coats ....to another entry to get back to our hotel room at the Hyatt Place . We didn't have a problem walking over for the event and because the hotel is connected....we did not bring our coats So being forced to walk outside in the dead of winter with a medical needs child and a baby was a very very poor usiness move . When we told The Hyatt Place front desk manager and even though they are not the same company , she was very sorry to hear that we were treated that way and told us if that ever happens again to call them ....and that they would personally come and pick us up. We were not the only ones to complain that day with the Suburban Showplace workers. The Showplace employees need to take a few lessons from The Hyatt Place employess because they know how to treat the guest with kindness and respect .
I have been there two consecutive 'India Day' - thousands people, auto display, indoor concert. It is a great place, all the facilities - rest room, parking are good. Parking facilities too organized but cost 5 dollar.
Parking lot was okay, but a fee is charged to park while attending a show at this adequate facility. The camper show I attending was nice, but I felt like things were packed in and perhaps more dealers could have shown off more products had there been more space. Coat check was available and some concession options were present. I'm used to larger facilities providing more room, but it was not unenjoyable.
