There are some outstanding antique cars here. A variety of old cars with a really knowledgeable staff. It is tucked away but well worth the visit.
The guide was great but not for a four year old. I will have to go back without the grandson. The interactive upstairs was great except that none of the remote control cars worked because all the remote controls were dead. Next time I'll bring my own battery. My Branson loved the simulators but at four he had to sit on my lap so I could work the foot pedals while he drive. This will be a great place when he is taller.
Had a great time. Admittedly, you can see everything in about 30 minutes. If you take your time to read the literature and speak with the staff you will learn a ton and have a memorable experience.
Opened on Father's Day Weekend, 2014, this museum chronicles the history of the automobile in KC. The museum currently has around 30 cars - everything from a 1910 Stanley Steamer to a 1992 Dodge Viper. There are also racing simulators for kids young and old. Check their website for upcoming events. This place is GREAT!
Fun place to visit, particularly the race simulators. Good amenities for a museum of this size including restrooms, gift shop, car club corner refreshments. Docent lead tour was very informative about the museum and the autos on display. Allow 2 hours.
