My youngest son (14) and his baseball teammates went to Sadler's during some down time. His older brother (18) missed out, so we went the next day and both boys raced. They had a good time and liked being able to go fast. They only raced for 10 minutes, which cost $18.00 each. They seemed to think it was worth especially when they found out we were paying. They were both willing to spend their own money to race though. We got there when it first opened at noon on Memorial Day and only a couple other families were there, so it was not crowded and no line. Something good to do on a rainy day, since the tracks are indoors. There was also an arcade and concessions, but we did not do either.
This place was understaffed no management present. Everything is overpriced. There are better uses for your entertainment dollar pick something else. Otherwise come here blow your money and regret it.
Went with a group of 4 other co workers while on a trip to KCMO. Go cart action was a blast. Although the no 2 seaters after 7 rule was not enforced. Wasn't too busy a night so our group was able to go every other race. The reason I could not go above an average grade is because of the customer service. Our first interaction was with a young lady that could have cared less whether or not we spent any money there. It almost seemed like she was trying to talk us out of racing that night. We raced the last race and were very disappointed that they erased our final race times before we could settle up a friendly bet. Again, young lady at the front desk could not have cared less. A little on the spendy side but fairly close to what we would have expected. Would go again and hopefully not have to interact with Miss Caresless.
Been going here on and off for years, I race micro sprint cars and in the winter/spring it keeps my reaction time spot on. Last few times I've been the karts get worse and worse last time the kart would honestly only go barely half throttle...I got passed by a young kid that was maybe going half throttle. I pulled in and asked for a new kart, employee said no and motioned me on, I tried to argue my case but was told race or get out. These karts used to be nice but they are so broken down its crazy, almost worse than the set of karts they had prior to these. The employees I knew by name and respected that actually had some racing knowledge have all since left this place and now it's a bunch of idiots...hopefully some new karts and good staff are in the future for this place!!
Our Birthday Parties are private only. However, the person that invited your son there may have asked to just meet at Sadler's and they will pay for the races. We always ask the participants if they mind racing with the younger ones or visa versa. Especially when its a birthday party. We are constantly striving to accommodate everyone that comes here. We ran karts here for 7 years with no seat belts or roll bars. 5 years ago I decided to add some karts with seat belts and roll bars. Every customer has the option of not driving a kart for any reason what so ever. If you feel that it is unsafe for you and/or your son, please don't participate. We have a waiver that clearly states that anything can happen and a safety video that is viewed before than can drive. Every customer reads and signs a waiver before any one can drive a kart. Our number one priority is safety and we have an exquisite safety record with over 1,500,000 customers in the past 12 years.
My husband and I needed to do something out of the norm….something to make us laugh and feel young again. Sadlers was just the thing. We had a great time racing and it got my heart racing in a different sort of way.
This place just went through some nice little upgrades and the cars are very very fast. If you are looking to race indoors this place does it well! We have been 5 times and have not been disappointed.
I wouldn't spend a dime in this place. Not for lousy service, careless customer service, and carts nearly falling apart. Wow. Not to mention the lack of air conditioning in the place. This is best comparable to a place run by a crack-head slum lord.
The carts were a lot of fun but the arcade was disappointing. Outside the track was pretty dirty. Inside the track one of the kids working there was chewing tobacco and spitting on the ground. I chewed for a long time. That doesn't bother me but spitting on the ground around a bunch of kids does.
Went there for a Chamber of Commerce event and enjoyed it. It is indoors and that helps with the weather. Well ventilated so the fumes from the carts wasn't an issue.
