They had a lot of fun arcade games, but unless you go on Wednesday when they have half price games it's way too expensive. We liked the games in the back that were enclosed and had 3D, motion, cool souds but the 3D glasses were so filthy we didn't even want to use them. They did have someone come and clean the box and glasses and then we had a blast. Just seemed like they could do a better job keeping everything clean.
I have been to Dave and Busters several times and although it was a Friday and busy this experience was not worth the trouble. It was a 50 minute wait followed by a 20 minute wait for the server. Then after the drink orders we were informed by the assistant manager that the tables were for the patrons and we had to order. We told him that the waitress was slow and unresponsive. His response was you need to order or leave PLEASE. Needless to say as we walked out security escorted us to the asst. manager where we were presented with a bill for $25 plus tip for non-ordering-we told him that the waitress took our drink order 2 minutes after he left the table but never returned-we were leaving and never returning-I have the $25 bill paid just for principle purposes because they also had called the police and they were waiting outside so after telling them the story and clearing us-they we inside returned with our $25 and gave a couple of better suggestions to eat-which we did. Sorry Dave and Busters our 12 person group will find another place.
I hadn't been at a Dave & Buster's in the suburbs (of Chicago) before. I wasn't sure if would be similar to the one downtown. I found the restaurant to be a little bigger, but the arcade/game area seemed kind of small. I know that the "sexy", newer games are what everyone is looking for, so imagine my surprise when I found a single Pac-Man/Galaga game. I was so excited! Anyway, the variety of games is pretty good and it wasn't super busy, so I can imagine that you'd have to wait a fair amount of time when it is. I guess it's really no different than it was at the 80s arcades I remember :) Besides the game area, I was very pleased with the restaurant. We came there about 4pm on a Saturday--so I imagine it gets very busy later. No wait whatsoever, but it was busy. Our waiter, Kyle, was very attentive without being obtrusive. He was helpful in helping us figure out the best deal for our gaming, which was very much appreciated. I had the quesadilla which was really delicious and my friend had the double burger. Let's just say that nothing was leftover!I encourage you to check for deals and combos when you can. We had just recently signed up for their rewards card and got $10 free play, plus in the local coupon circular, they had $20 when you purchase $20 in game play.
I went to dave and buster for a evening just to have some fun, with my boyfriend. Got there it was a slow night. Our food was horrible..the waiter was a jerk and after spending 70.00 on food before we got to the games.the manager feel to say something to my boyfriend about drinking my margarita that I didn't finish..my boyfriend and I are well over the drinking age and the waiter knew that when he look at our ids but because his I'd was expired it was a problem when his money is what paid for the evening. It was my first and last time there.
The food was fabulous-our whole family enjoyed it-teenagers and a 7 year old-the games were a blast-something for everyone
When it first opened we had a 3 hour wait for a table to eat. Now it is not that way. I would recommend going elsewhere for dinner then over to play the games. The games are really fun, but the food is just okay.
The addison location is much larger than the Orland park location if you need a larger function. Food is very good, games are paid for on a self loading key card, great for the kids, instead of paper money ( who carries that anymore?) great for parties or outings.
The kids had fun playing games, and the food was REALLY good! The one negative was that there weren't many prizes to choose from. I've been to Dave and Busters in other locations and they have a lot more prizes. We would go back here again.
This place is great for food, drinks, and fun but is very pricey. Be prepared to spend $100 if you want to feed the family and play a few games. The foods very good for a chain place and service is pretty decent. Wednesdays are too crowded for me because of half priced games.
My Husband and I really liked the fact that the restaurant was close by to the Essence Suites. The atmosphere was very nice and the people were very friendly from hostesses to management checking on all the customers. There was nothing that I disliked about this location.
