I went here last October with my brother. We are both 50 years old. Hes in great shape, I'm in OK shape. It was a challenging course, super fun, and a good workout, but we werent wiped out at the end.Hes got a semi fear of heights, and was worried he wouldnt like it, but he had a blast!Lots of climbing, ladders, logs, tightope, all harnessed in and all with handrails. Zip lines were great, I've been to several in other places, and these were good, long, fast, and fun.It took 3 hours or so to complete the course, we had to wait a little for people in front of us.Good instruction at the beginning, and then we were pretty much left alone by the staff, unless we needed them, and then they were very close by.Pick a sunny day, as there are no rainchecks, and if it rains, your day is pretty much over.Pay attention to the policies as stated, and then you wont have to be all annoyed when the staff follows them.Ignore the 10 disgruntled souls who wrote bad reviews, they werent paying attention to CLEARLY published policies. This place is great, get a zoo ticket as well, and see the animals!
We love to do this as a family. The kids began at 12 years old - there is a small Trek for younger ones. We have annual passes for the Trek. It's isn't easy and you have to be in pretty good physical condition to take on the advanced area: balance and strength.
zip line and ropes course that participants are given a class and then turned loose on the course. there is no one on the platforms with you
Love the tree top challenge course. Not for the weak, but tons of fun. Great family time, a family that zips together, stays together!
Our group consisted of kids age 11 and 16, and adults ages 20, 21, 46, and 51, all in good physical condition. We had a great time doing the Treetop Challenge! After gearing up and completing a safety demonstration we started the course. Knowledgeable and helpful staff were with us on the ground throughout the course to ensure we were following safety instructions and clipping to the lines the correct way. As a parent I sincerely appreciate this. There is alot of climbling of ladders involved and many fun obstacles, going platform to platform. The long zip lines were the best. It was a great day of family fun! Thanks guys!
Not as easy as anticipated! We did the Treetop Challenge course for $50/p. My husband and I zipped in the Riviera Maya, but this was more of a Survivor obstacle course, with zips mostly in the second half of the Challenge Trek. Not recommended for those afraid of heights, or climbing a lot of ladders...vertical ladders, not pitched at an angle. We felt very safe however; a lesson was given before we began. It was not busy at all, and a guide was close by during the zip line portion. He even got some photos of us on my phone! Beware of the Tarzan rope into cargo net! It's doable, but not at all easy. I'm so glad we spent a few hours here. It was fantastic!
Get ready to be put to the test. The first part of the course has a good bit to offer but for the money you should do the whole thing, if you have the time. The course is some what of a challenge so be prepared to sweat. They have a course designed for children as well. If you like zip lining this will most certainly be something for you.
This was a really fun adventure. You can pick from different levels of difficulty, and a staff member makes sure you understand all the safety precautions and how to do everything before you start out. And they stay with you throughout your excursion to offer tips and help if you need it. We did the canopy walk, as it was our first time. We had a wonderful time, and will definitely come back and try a harder course next time
We booked the course and zip line. 2 Adults 1 12yr old 1 9yr old. $199. Our so called guided yelled at our soon so mean made him cry. We were last group half way through our guided said second warning you are kicked of to our 9 year old for not clipping to go up later. Well that was first so called warning but no explaining to her she was mistaken instead we were taken off course and forfit $199 because she wanted to be done for the day. As we got back to base she said ok they are done so now we can finally close up and have an early day... DO NOT WAST MONEY OR TIME LOOK ELSEWHERE
Treetop Trek offers a variety of options based on age/ability. The staff members were also very helpful and friendly. The course moves from tree to tree either on obstacles or ziplines through the animal enclosures in the Breavard Zoo. Some animals I remember passing by were monkeys, birds, sloths and alligators. We had a great time on the two occasions we visted from the area from Pennsylvania.
