My dad and I played a benefit tournament at Bear Creek and were extremely impressed! The course was very well maintained and the greens were great and fast! The beauty of each hole kept my bad day of golf so much more enjoyable!
Overal excellent course which called for a large variety of shots and clubs. Odd that it had what appeared to be a bowling alley attached to the clubhouse.Greens and traps (sigh) were in great condition.Staff was friendly and helpful.
Staff very friendly, gorgeous golf course, hard but fun. Make #1 drive more forgiving. Nice restaurant with good food.
I don't golf, but when in the area I frequently have lunch here with business associates. I have never been disappointed by the food or service. Be sure to check out the daily specials.
Offers a deal on breakfast & golf. Check the day. Only offered certain times.
Beautiful course, tough, tight, challenging but not insane. Prabably my third favorite course in the Ozarks.Great staff. Helpful, friendly, top notch. We palyed on 6/26 and the course was in great shape. Fast greens, soft fairways, county club conditions. Hit em straight!
The restaurant was recommended by locals as the place for breakfast. We were not disappointed. We had the pecan and corn flake coated French toast and "the skillet" (hash browns topped with sausage patties, eggs, and gravy...with a biscuit on the side). Very good. The negative was the cigarette smoke smell eminating from the bar area. The server did close the door between the rooms which helped tremendously.
Great golf course and food. Mary, Jeff and Jerry do a great job! The restaurant and kitchen are probably the cleanest at the Lake and the golf course is very well maintained.
Bear Creek is a golf course with a lovely restaurant, open for breakfast and lunch. Dine inside or out and view the first hole over a wide expanse of water. The decor is pleasant and immaculate. Immaculate! The food is good, basic fare. The waitstaff is friendly and professional. The dining area is in two sections, and there is a well-stocked bar in the back. Small groups come to play cards or discuss books. We go several times a week. They are always packed on Sundays.
Have played Bear Creek twice in the past 4 months. The employees or cordial and helpful and the premises and course are the cleanest I have ever seen. You will not find a cigarette butt, candy wrapper, empty sleeve of balls anywhere. The course has GREAT elevation changes and is huge in its' layout. No square grid layout here, no sir. I have no idea, but would guess the furthest point on the course to the clubhouse to be 2 miles! Have a hotdog at the snack shack @ 10. THE BEST DOG I HAVE EVER EATEN!In March I paid $35 for green fees. In April I paid $72 (ouch!). Is it worth $72, yes, but getting on the verge of competing with some of the fine courses at Tan-Tar-a and Old Kinderhook.
