college was outstanding traffic was very light.Lake Ontario is beautiful Maritime museum and fort Ontario to look at.
It is nice that it is along the lake for some nice views. However, there is nothing that makes this school stand out from every other state school in NY.
Check out SUNY Oswego, a great SUNY school with a lot of updated facilities including an awesome ice rink. Check out some of the dorm rooms overlooking lake Ontario
Earned my undergraduate degree at SUNY Oswego in the 70's. Just got back to town on business and drove around the campus. It looks as good as ever. Dress warmly: that Canadian wind blows cold over Lake Ontario -- but it is so refreshing.
My son and I visited this school last week, and he has decided this is the school for him! Couldn't find a down side!!
What an unusual beautiful campus, right on Lake Ontario. This is as close to an ocean view you'll ever have for the price of a state education!
Went to Freshmen Orientation - a comprehensive 2-day seminar. The theme of the day seemed to be: let your child advocate for him/herself. This is a wonderful thing! I am very excited my child choose to come here. BTW ... the food was amazing!
The dining hall on campus offer more choices that you can believe..All the food is fresh and well prepared....It is open to public everyday..You'll never find more choices in any restaurant..
We had an official college visit and this was excellent. The admissions office arranged for accomodations because my son had a broken leg and was on crutches.Even with that, they had the most organized and coordinated information session and tour of the campus. What a great experience.
Beautifully set on the shoreline of Lake Ontario,SUNY-Oswego ("OZ") is a great place to send your kids to AND visit. Since they have State of NY money, they have relative "carte blanche" on fixing up ,maintaining and improving this large campus. (I feel sorry for private schools who don't have huge endowments,to compete with the public universities) So ,great place to visit and possibly send your kids to,ESPECIALLY if you are a NY resident and get there low (and guaranteed same rate for 4 years) tuition.
