Kansas City area has several great shopping areas. But if you are shopping with kids, this is the place to be. We went to see the American Girl store but also went to Lego, Claire's, Justice & Disney. It's a wonderful mall & then we finished up eating at their food court which had lots of options. Worth the trip!
This is one of the few indoor "old style" malls that I have been to lately that actually seems to be doing well, and I can see why. The number and type of stores they offer is great - there is something for everyone. The mall was clean, and the employees seemed friendly. In general, yes it is like most other malls in the types of food, stores and services they offer. But there were more options that most malls, and there were far fewer empty store bays than most malls these days. The location was great for us (we were visiting from out of town) as it was easy to get to/from here from the several highways and interstates. I'd definitely go again!
nice mall no real good deals for the holidays but nice place to shop, rain forest café is no longer there and this was disappointing
Every year when we come to Kansas City, we make sure to come by the Oak Park Mall. There are so many top notch stores here to enjoy. There is something at this mall for everyone in the family. Very hard to stop by this mall without seeing the American Girl Doll store! My girls love it!
Oak Park Mall has been around for over two decades. It is probably the nicest mall in Overland Park these days. They have several major anchor stores and many specialty shops. Now that the Metcalf South Mall (95th Street & Metcalf) is history, Oak Park Mall is basically the only remaining large indoor mall option. Not to hard to find something to buy here.
Stores are well laid out and parking is convenient. Nordstrom, Macy's, J. C. Penney's and two Dillard's provide quality and variety.
Oak Park Mall tries hard to make sure their merchants are the best, with the freshest store designs. Their anchor tenants are Dillard's, Macy's, Nordstrom's and J.C. Penny. I'm normally not a mall shopper, but I will go to Oak Park, especially at Christmas.
Very pleasant shopping experience with extremely courteous staff in each store. We spent most of our time in the build-a-bear workshop and everyone was super friendly!!!
This is one of the few remaining successful malls. They keep adding new stores that are hot. It is the only indoor mall in the region worth making a special trip.
Found store quickly that had what we needed. Had numerous stores that my wife shops at, we found our item at Target.
