Igreja linda ao estilo barroco, ampla e arejada no meio do centro histórico da cidade, em frente a praça, a missa é revigorante e traz muita paz. Lugar cheio de História.
I really liked this church, its full of history and it is in the hearth of paraty,My and my wife went to the mess in sunday,we found it wonderful
If you are lucky enough to be in Paraty while the priest is celebrating a mass, you must stop in. Doors are wide open welcoming all passersby. The interior of the church is absolutely gorgeous, the music from the choir is uplifting, the ceremony is breathtaking and the level of participation from the community is amazing. Our original intent was to experience the service and admire the interior of the church for a short while but we ended up staying until the very end. This was one of the most memorable experiences in our eight weeks in Brazil. Note that this recommendation is from someone who has not been inside a church in 25 years. Just go and experience the warmth and vibrancy of this community. It is a very heart warming experience.
It's a wonderful portuguese construction. It is located in a gorgeus square with ancient big trees. It is a good place to have an ice cream just looking people walking.
This church and others interesting spots of Old Paraty city are parts of a rented carriage tour which is found at Praca da Matriz. Prices are negotiable with the carriage conductors.
This cathedral is of XVIII century,... located close to the channel of Parathy, on the north side, in front of a square. The are some images of saints dated of XVII, XVIII and XIX century. In June they have a big celebration in honor of Corpus Christi. There is a procession with the same name, when all natives are involved, as well tourists. The architecture is very nice. If you are in Parathy this time, can not fail to see
Local tranquilo, histórico e que inspira fé e acolhimento. Belíssima decoração e pode ser fotografada sem flash
The church is worth a visit, for it colonial times touch. Just sit inside in one of the benches and contemplate the entire interior for a few minutes. The very post card of Paraty.
If you have the opportunity (if it is open), try to visit its interesting inside as well as the simple, but beautiful facade.
I loved loved loved the area and the beautiful and picturesque old town, recently flooded, but this little church was both boring and ordinary.
