We had been wanting to heli ski forever and decided to finally pull the trigger. RK Heli ski was an amazing and top notch outfit. You felt like a VIP all day starting with breakfast, training, skiing, beers and the poster with where you skiied. My only complaint about the day was being grouped with not good skiers. This really sucked when you pay this amount of money to ski. I finally figured out after the first two runs to ski at the back - would have been great if a guide noticed the good skiers and told us this would improve our day. Overall is was a trip of a lifetime and the views and feeling of being up there are incredible! Plus the team theory have there makes the day even more special...go book your trip now!
Great night for drinks by the fire so we came back for the food the next night. Not to expensive but still very classy and relaxed. Try the Wild Boer. They bent over backwards to help make our stay enjoyable.
It's been my dream for 30 years to go heli skiing. I was not disappointed. Nice knee-thigh deep fresh tracks all day in beautiful terrain made it worth the wait. The folks at rk do it right. Awesome guides and pilots ensure your safety and find the absolute best terrain. It was a day I will never forget but hopefully one day I will be able to repeat.
My daughter and I are both experienced skiers but this was our first heli-skiing adventure. The experience was worth every penny in unbelievable scenery and terrain. RK are a very professional organization and friendly, from the people on reception through the guides and pilot. The emphasis was on enjoyment and the team at RK delivered 100%.
I am an intermediate to advanced skier (comfortable on groomed black diamonds). This was a great day that pushed me, but left me exhilarated. The guides were great and found us exceptional alpine powder. I was a little uncomfortable in the trees but that was a very limited part of the day. Overall an exceptional experience.
Awesome trip! Will do it again. The guides were excellent and made you feel safe at all times. Always wanted to do a Heliski trip and I am glad I chose RK Heliski!
Rk was very professional with everything from the initial communications to the safety, and the guides. For what you receive it is worth the money, I recommend the 5 run at least. The food they serve for breakfast and lunch are great. My only complaint is that we signed up for expert, but the terrain was very beginner. If you can ride groomers you can do this heli. All in all I would recommend doing this at least once as a skier/snowboarder
Hey there,I was doing the Heli ski trip on the 3rd of April, for all the People who are really used to backcountry Terrain, for example big cliffs unexpected Drops etc, then this tour is not the Money worth. You booked the tour as an expert and then when you are skiing you feel like skiing with old People. If you gonna spend this high amount of Money you wanna get something what is challenging yourself. I asked the guide for more Drops and cliffs but there was nothing. All in all we had good snow and the helicopter flight was awesome, Fresh tracks included. But again if you search something where you wanna challenge yourself like the real expecting of going heli skiing i going down everywhere, like cliffs and really tricky trerrain. Now booked the expert Group and get easy stuff like where is no big deal to ski down for everybody. :(No Need to have big skiing Level.
A once in a lifetime experience....unless you have the money to keep it going! It is an expensive day but where else can you land on top of a ridge from a helicopter and enjoy fresh tracks and snow with only the members of your group?? The guides are very experienced and offer up lots of information. They provide breakfast and avalanche training with the beacons. Following instructions and directions is a must for safety. The views are incredible and totally memorable.
We had a blast. When we booked our trip we told them our experience level. We were put in a mixed group of experts and moderate skiers. We snowboard and the first and second run we did was definitely designed for expert skiers and was a bit challenging. The third run however was amazing! We went to this big wide open powder bowl. It was absolutely a YOLO experience. If we ever get the opportunity to do it again, we would!!
