Dont be surprised if you go here and people try to sell you drugs, including their EMPLOYEES!
Great gambling with a wide variety of machines. Always friendly, undergoing construction now but should be finished this month. A little smoky this last time.
Casino Pauma is one of the very few California casinos that are still in a tent. It is quite simple but has a wide variety of slot machines and they are quite loose. If you are looking for an upscale casino like Pechanga then this is not for you.
Can't go wrong with this 10 Doller deal at Pauma Cafe . . . Don't B Shy get your dinner rolls with the meal to complete it . . .
Worth going out of your way for a good meal here, especially weekdays at $8.95. Good selection and quality. Nice atmosphere. Plan to go back again.
If a small casino is what you want you will have a good time here. Older and new slots on the floor to chose from. Great value for your gamming dollar. I have A good time when I come here.
This Casino is a hole in the wall compared to the glitzy Pala, Harrah's and Valley view which are all within a short drive or even buss ride from each other. The advantage to this Small casino is the Gaming. When you arrive you open your car door to the fresh aroma of the orange groves that surround this casino. If you go on Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 8AM-10AM or Fridays from 4PM-6PM you can give them $20 Cash & they will put $30 in slot play on your Player's card. If you were planning on only betting $20 for your stay, you just added 50% to bank.Casino Pauma is the only casino in the area with either 9-5 or 8-6 Jacks or Better (JoB) Video Poker. The others have at best 8-5, some only 7-5 which is not a good percentage bet.9-6 JoB is optimal at 99.5%9-5 = 98.45%8-6 = 98.39%8-5 = 97.30%7-5 = 96.15%In addition to the Video Poker Casino Pauma always has $5 BlackJack from a six deck shoe and $10 Double-Deck BlackJack which is the best game around by far. If you want to learn to play with real money you can even play $3 BlackJack. Now the buffet, $9.95, not a bad price, but take a look. mostly homestyle comfort foods. Fried Chicken, Ribs, mashed Potatoes and Gravy stuffing a small salad bar. Not much in the way of seafood except for fish. But wait....Prime Rib! Every Night! As good a Prime Rib as I have had from some fine restaurants. I was extremely surprised the firsat time, but i have been several times since and the Prime Rib is extremely consistantly good.
Love this place........It's very small and tent-like as casinos go. They have a good selection of machines (old and new) and a small poker room (maybe 5 tables) hahaha. The reason I love this place is your money lasts forever.I am quite the casino junkie. I worked at Viejas and Sycuan for years, so I know my casinos. I live in San Diego and for the past year have been hitting every casino I can on a weekly basis. Once a week I go to Valley View, Harrah's, Pauma, Pala, Pechanga in that order. They are all about 5 miles distance from each other in a row. I try to hit Soboba Casino about once every 2 weeks.I gave up on the casino's in San Diego because they are so tight and they are terrible with the comps.Pauma has some of the older IGT machines that you NEVER see anymore anywhere such as: Wild Bear Salmon Run, Turkey Shoot, Uncle Sam....etc etc. They also have all the new ones as well. Also if you're a smoker you'll be happy to know that a pack is only $6 here, as opposed to $7-Valley View, $8-Harrah's, $9-Soboba.They have extremely clean restrooms for a casino, and hot seat drawings every hour for freeplay. They also have breakfast specials and 3 snack shops with salads, hot dogs, sandwiches, mini pizza's, desserts...... They just built a new buffet that is supposed to be good and only $10/person.They have a big bar/lounge in the center of the casino with ample seating and a full liquor license. They have a special every morning for $60 in slotplay for $40 cash. Not a bad deal at all.The thing I did notice about this place is they do not have a NON-SMOKING section. The entire casino is smoking and it gets very smokey. All new club members will get $10 in freeplay for joining the club.No garage or covered parking. One big lot with very minimal handicapped parking so be prepared to walk.If you've never been here before....try it
Looking for a good deal check out almost check out Paumas dinner special Prime Rib is on the menu now & comes with a free dessert !!!
Nothing has changed in 6-7 years. It's not a bad little casino but it's dark and cavey. Surprisingly it's not too smokey for a small place. The buffet is decent, employees are nice. It just seems like they have not done much to upgrade or change in quite a while.
