Small, pet friendly. Clean. If it wasnt for the ocean I wouldnt have stopped there. Looks the the nearby stormwater sewers drain here.
Just got back from San Diego and spent a wonderful afternoon at Fletcher's Cove. I almost don't want to review it because I'd like to keep it a secret. Anyway, it is an easy walk from free parking on the city street nearby. There are nice restrooms to change in and showers outside to wash off the sand when you leave the beach. There are cliffs on either side of the beach. The water was warmer than it is up at Huntington Beach where we used to live. There weren't a ton of people there and it was very peaceful. There was just the right amount of activity...surfers, etc. and a mix of all ages of people. There is also a beautiful little park that views over the beach from above. The landscaping is gorgeous and there are several tables to have a picnic! I will definitely go back to this beach again!
Really great spot for a picnic, or take out from Water's Catering on the corner up the street which offers delicious healthy options and is a local favorite. Dogs are allowed at the upper picnic table area but not on the beach. The Cedros shopping area is up the street and offers a lot to see.Fletcher Coves bathrooms were very clean and well stocked.
Found this cove by accident one day after dropping my dog off for grooming. It's a great walk on flat sand with lots of things to see whether you decide to head north or south along the water.
Fletcher Cove beach park is in Solana Beach in SD. There is an upper level with a large playground and tables for the kids, lots of places to take pictures with the Pacific behind you and just a short walk down the hill gains you access to a beautiful beach for surfing, swimming, etc. They have restrooms available that are clean and places to rinse off after the beach. Overall, just a wonderful place to spend an afternoon in Solana Beach.
playground was simple but couldn't get two year old to leave. bathrooms near by. lots of nooks to explore and just a short walk from the design district.
This little beach has it all - beautiful cliffs, uncrowded beach, swim and surf areas, lifeguard station, bathrooms, showers, playground and palm trees. You can walk to Pizza Port for lunch!
Great view of the ocean from the park. There is a slide and swing for children. Plenty of free parking as well.
We found this park after eating at Solana Donuts. It was a great place to see the beach. When warmer, I'm sure swimming here would be nice. We enjoyed walking the beach and watching the surfers. There is a small playground here that is great for younger children.
This is my favorite place to go to the beach. I particularly enjoy walking here in the morning. Free parking is convenient. The play areas are attractive and clean. Love Fletcher Cove!
