Nothing very unique or unusual about this town. People are 'southern friendly' which is always welcome, if a tourist. We have stopped here a few times in our travels up and down I-75. We did see one very pretty "Southern" home, and I've posted a photo of it. That was about it.
There are a few really stores and restaurants here in the downtown area. It's a great place to just sit on the benches and people watch. Went to Gentry's and had some delicious bluebell ice cream. It's a great place to just relax on a lazy afternoon.
Downtown Perry is full of quaint shops, cozy local restaurants, and friendly folks. It is evident that all of the downtown businesses take pride in their storefronts and wares.
We enjoyed browsing the boutiques and visited the Coffee Cup. Locals were all friendly and fun to do business with.
It is like that town is dying, there was not really much to shop.Had to drive to Warner Robbins for any real shopping
If you are trying to go and have a good time and have all kind of attractions well this isn't your place. It's more for older people who just want to walk around for a while and then eat at the Swan restaurant which is a southern restaurant.
I love driving through americana. Finding the small towns. Very pretty here, lots of quaint shops, churches and restaurants. Very clean. The town even has a driving tour with numbered signs directing you in a brochure to the history of the spots. Was great to do before dinner while we were there.
I love our downtown! When I was little it was a great place to hang out and I did, mother could always find me downtown at Tot's n Teens, the Coffee Cup, Jones Jeweler or Overton's.. Most of these are gone now but downtown is filled with awesome little stores to go visit. Coffee Cup is still there and I eat there at least once a week. We have some of the cutest stores and several good places to eat. I recommend coming to visit us any day except Monday some of the stores are closed then.
Lots of hometown shops and a few spots to eat. We liked the hometown places to shop and dine. Many historical places and antique shops to visit
Not much to see here really, mostly just little boutique types stores selling frilly things grandma might like. The statue to those who served in the Confederate Army is cool, lets you know you are in the deep south. If you find yourself there, go into Rusty's for a cold beer.
