We rafted on the Tara river with the tour company Eko Piva (http://www.raftingmontenegro.com/). We had a great time. The guides were very good. They were very safety conscious and had great attitudes. When we went the water was high and fast and the weather was cold. We didn't get to cliff jump because of the cold and rainy weather but the guides did build us a fire to warm up part way through the trip. The rapids were very rough and the current was fast but the guides did a great job getting us through. The scenery is very beautiful. Would highly recommend it.

Rafting rzeką Tarą całkiem miłe doznania. Dobry sprzęt pływający i odzież ochronna. Poza tym w rejonie dużo takich atrakcji i przed skorzystaniem proponuję rozejrzeć się po okolicznych Campach. Obawiam się, że po stronie Bośni i Hercegowiny może być taniej a na odcinku od przejścia granicznego w Scepan Polje do Foce naliczyłem kilkanaście ofert campu z Raftingiem. O ile sam spływ oceniam jako dobry to Camp Modra Rijeka uważam, za totalną porażkę. Ceny w porównaniu do warunków zakwaterowania zbyt wygórowane. Bungalowy nędznie wyposażone, brak opraw i żarówek w pokojach. Brak szafek na ubrania. Rzadko kiedy sprzątana toaleta, pokoje pewno jeszcze rzadziej. Jedzenie niesmaczne i drogie. Aby skorzystać z raftingu należy wcześniej umówić się z właścicielem telefonicznie albo e- mailowo. Spływ w okolicach godziny 10.00. Właściciel ma swoją stronę internetową ale nie wierzcie wszystkiemu co tam napisane. Ceny raczej umowne niż stałe i raczej z jedzeniem drogim i niesmacznym. Wyjazd na spływ na zdjęciach raczej samochodem terenowym w rzeczywistości stare busy VW albo coś w tm rodzaju. Nie mniej jednak polecam sam rafting po rzece bo wspaniałe doznania, nie dajcie się tylko oszukać bo naciągaczy chcących zarobić duże pieniądze na turystach niewielkim kosztem nie brakuje. Sprawdzajcie a potem decydujcie. Nie ma potrzeby niczego rezerwować na wyrost.

Nous avions réservé un family package 1 pour faire du rafting sur la Tara river.Probablement que l'expérience vécue dépend de la saison.Nous y sommes allés mi-aout, au pic d'affluence.En ce qui concerne le rafting, sympa, petits rapides fun; pas de grosses sensations mais nous le savions vu le débit peu élevé de la Tara à cette saison. Très beau cadre mais il semble qu'il soit encore plus beau en amont, avec cependant des conditions de navigation moins fun.Vu l'affluence sans doute, notre boatman ne parlait pas anglais.En ce qui concerne la "croisière" sur le lac Piva, par ailleurs très beau, la description faite sur le site est assez mensongère; 5 heures et barbecue sur les rives; nous avons eu droit à deux heures et un repas dans un restaurant de Pluzinje, bon par ailleurs. Le boatman parlait convenablement anglais mais parlait peu; il y a surement à dire sur ce superbe environnement! Ce n'est pas précisé sur le site web mais nous avons du nous rendre par nos propres moyens du camp de base à Pluzinje où débutait la "croisière".De plus, les deux journées ont été inversée ce qui nous a imposé un aller-retour de plus entre Pluzinje et la frontière bosniaque où se situe le camp de base; cette route est certes très belle mais fatigante et longue (30 minutes).En ce qui concerne le campement où nous avons passé deux nuits; le confort est suffisant mais rudimentaire. Sanitaires partagés entre deux chambres, propreté limite. Chambres très petites, juste de quoi déposé les valises; pas d'armoires, pas de tentures aux fenêtres. Literie de mauvaise qualité.La nourriture est également basique et comme souvent au Monténégro, le sourire du personnel est en option.Ceci étant, il faut reconnaître que pour 48 heures en pension complète, le prix est assez compétitif!Une expérience mitigée donc mais le rafting sur la Tara et une visite du lac Piva sont certainement à recommander si vous visitez le Monténégro!

Rating down the Tara river is really something special, from adventurous experience to real 'widl beauty' which you see on your way. You may freely drink water from the river on your way.Though the most important is to have good equipment, and a good skipper. I've read Isabella's review, and am very sad to realize that it is still possible to find some of the rafter leaders who don't pay enough attention to safety. We went there twice, honestly 9 years ago. - that's why I believed safety is not a question any more. We went with the rafters form the Bosnian side. First time it was perfect, real fun, but skipper was a great guy, joking when possible but yelling when dangerous (you really must take an active part in rowing down the river and listen to skipper carefullly). From equipment we only had special shoes-boots (which don't have that significant role.We passed it with great excitement and pleasure. Therefore next year we decided to go for it again. Fortunately this time we had shoes-boots and life jackets! But we had a poor skipper (he was like a shy guy who doesn't know that he should command more strictly). We turned upside down twice, got bitten all over the body from kicking the rocks under the water on our way through the wild water part to a more slow one. Life jacket really helped pulling me out at the very last moment of diving letting me take a small breath before water pulled me in again. As we were told, the only way out of the canyon is to go on, we had to finish it with the boat, but at the end, being pretty traumatized and full of blue kicked spots on our body, we didn't want to go for the second part which was supposed to be along Drina river, but could hardly wait to reach land and calm ourselves.Therefore I'd probably never go for it again, though I'd highly recommend it if you are provided a good equipment, and very well checked skippers.

The best part Tara river didn't have enough water at the time when we were there, so we had to raft another part of the river. The rafting was OK, but not very exciting, especially for us that had tried rafting previously. The instructors were not very talkative and I don't feel they took the safety precautions that is normally required for rafting. It might be because of the low water, but it was still disappointing. The scenery was anyhow very beautiful, and it was well worth the trip to see the nice blue water and marvelous steep mountain sides.The camp site and small houses we lived in were really cute and charming.

We did a half day rafting trip on River Tara, with Eko Piva. The instructor Marko was very helpful, great in his technique and instructions. The scenery is spectacular, and on this particular day we couldn't do all sections of the river due to the high water level. Despite that, it was a super fun activity, and I highly recommend it. We stopped at a few waterfalls, rafted into a cave and stopped to take in the views. We also stayed in the Modra Rijeka lodge - overlooking the river. The views are so stunning, I could get used to living there! :) The guys at the lodge, despite their limited fluency in English did great with sign language, and we even managed to get them to cook some vegetarian food for us! This side of Montenegro is nothing short of stunning - there are beautiful spots around, so do take the time out to come here!

Nous avions réservé deux nuits dans leko camp d'eko piva en août dernier et une sortie en rafting. Après une longue route en fin de soirée nous sommes arrivés au camp pour se présenter et prendre nos chambres. Lorsque nous nous sommes présentés la personne ne semblait ni au courant ni ravie par notre venue. Nous avons du patienter jusqu'à ce que la gérante arrive. Pendant 10 min tout le monde parlait en serbe et personne ne semblait vouloir nous dire le programme. On nous a enfin tendu un téléphone et le commercial qui m'avait fait la réservation M explique que comme nous étions un couplé il valait mieux que nous 10 lions dans un autre camps à seulement 4km d ici et où nous aurions des chambres privées. Ayant compris qu ils avaient oublies notre arrivée je accepte. A la nuit tombante nous avons dû reprendre la voiture pour au final faire 10 km au lieu de 4 sur une route détruite de campagne à laquelle on n accédait qu en passant la frontière Monténégrine et avant la bosniaque. Le lendemain pour le rafting nous attendions puis à 11h quelqu'un vient nous avertir que nous sommes en retard après quelques incompréhension je comprends qu en faiteko piva voulait que l on retourne au premier camps sachant ce que cela impliquait pour rejoindre l autre groupe de rafting sans même nous le mentionner.au final les personnes du camp green où nous étions nous on aidé et on fait que les 2 jours ne soient pas catastrophiques.Avec tous les autres prestataires oubliés celui ci et prenez en un plus sérieux.

Actually, instructors are very fun, kind and safety is the number 1 rule for them. Don't worry, you feel very safe and secure during this amazing experience. the landscape is spectacular. You will feel high sensations and enjoy the panorama full of high rocky canyons, waterfalls and a clear blue water of the river. Instructors bring you lots of information. Moreover, a big breakfast is given before starting and a tasty lunch after rafting.We stayed 5 days in this wonderful and natural country and rafting on the Tara remain our best experience.

Сплав рассчитан на людей любого уровня, рафт вынесет всегда. Рекомендуем взять гидрокостюм, так как вода в реке ледяная. Во время слава рафт делает остановку на водопаде. По окончанию сплава всех на базе угощают сытным обедом и есть свободное время погулять по окрестностям.
