One of the 3 courses available at PGA Village. This course, in my opinion, not quite as nice as the other Fazio course, the Ryder, but offers moderate difficulty and is well maintained. To be frank, however, we found other courses in the area (within 50 miles) which were at least as nice and not as expensive.
Upon arrival , I was expecting to be wowed and was clearly not! The pictures are more impressive then what you'll see. The pace was extreamly slow and no marshall to be found when needed. Simply not worth the price. Staff was rude to customer that we were paired off with when he complained about the pace. So much better available in florida!
I have gone to this course three times. Every time I play it I realize how nice it is. The fairways are wide and well groomed. The greens were firm but still held the ball and there were no noticeable burn out spots. This wonderful course is nestled away in west Port Saint Lucie but is easily accessible from I-95. If you are vacationing in Palm beach county is it about an hour drive depending on where you are coming from. This course if well worth the drive. I would highly recommend. The facility is neat as well. On the property there is also were the Wanamaker trophy is kept, the bags from the ryder cup along with other trophies. There is also an area where they have old golf ball, clubs etc. Worth looking at make sure to allow extra time.
My friends and I were disappointed once again with value of PGA Village. This isn't a knock on the people who work there, who are very friendly. The management that continues raise prices and offer an inferior product is taking the facility in the wrong direction. Charging the public $150 a round and closing down one course for the members every day is just egregious. The PGA is simply turning away golfers that they desperately need for the future of the game. How is a family of four supposed to afford playing golf when it's $600 a round? It's my understanding that the PGA is out to promote the game of golf to everyone, everywhere. In my view, they are doing the opposite.
Living in Miami, I play a fair amount of golf at a fair amount of courses. The condition of this course was spectacular! The greens were rolling extremely hard, even though the rest of the course was so soggy that it was cart path only. The physical appearance was also beautiful -- IMHO nicer than Ryder.
A tour quality golf course. This is the second year we have had our golf outing at PGA Village and for the price you will never find better courses. We have already booked for our 3rd year in a row and can't wait to get back
When down with a bunch of guys for some golf camp/golf. Went here every morning with our pro. They are top notch and had everything set up. That sad part was our golf :-)! I would recommend to anyone with a golf pro to do a winter trip to dust off the clubs!
Great playable tract. Greens were amazing, running 11-12 on the stimp. Not as tough as the other 2 courses. Very generous landing areas, & greens flatter than the other 2 courses. Great conditioned course. Service by the staff is great. Best wings I've ever had in the PGA Clubhouse :)
Played it last Jan and at that time it was around $90 if you get on line in Summer or late spring you can get for like $45. We rained out and had to pay difference. Very nice course. Get better 1/2 to pay.
