The Treasure Cost Model Railroad Club has been in operation at their current location for over 8 years, within an old fire station leased from the City of Port St. Lucie. Beautifully detailed model work and fully operational multi-line tracks will keep visitors occupied for their entire visit which can easily last 2 hours. Families are especially welcome!Located on Becker Rd, which runs between I-95 (Exit 114) and the Florida's Turnpike (Exit 138) this model railroad would make for a fun stop for a family passing by on their way to Orlando or Miami.Open to the public on Saturdays, 10am to 12pm with special hours during the Christmas season.
Extensive layouts, and varieties of trains, all HO scale, I think. Obviously carefully crafted by loving volunteers. They host several open houses a year, and let youngsters take turns "driving" the model trains (with adult supervision, of course). As the trains are all on elevated platforms, this is not suitable for anyone in a wheelchair. Some movable steps are available, but be prepared to lift and hold smaller children. Admission was by donation when we visited.
