Lugar exuberante.
If like to walk, if you love nature, and if you don't mind getting wet, you'll love it!!! The walking above rocks lasts 8 hours with a few stops to eat and get some rest. You have to be in a good shape and perfect health, there are lots of "ups and downs". Remind to bring hat, an extra pair of shoes (cos you cross the river many times), sunblock and something to eat, and to stretch you legs in the end of the trail (even though you`ll feel sore anyway).
Many river crossings during the 12km trekking and the water was a little bit above the limit but the guides were really great and very responsable and we did not have any accidents on the trail. I loved it!!
Trilha do rio do boi
the tour in total is about 16 km and takes around 8 hours.the river must be crossed several times.entrance only allowed with tour guide.recommended using trail shoes.take lunch package with you!don’t forget your outdoor foto camera!
The trail of the rio do boi goes about half way up a canyon of the region, following a creek that has to be crossed more than 20 times. Overall the hiking trip lasts roughly 7 hours. It has to be done with a local guide that is accompanying a group of maximum 12 persons. As the trail is part of the state park, you have to pay an entrance fee. There is no infrastructure available so you have to bring with you all you need (food and drink - you could nevertheless also drink the water from the river). You surely get wet during this trail, as the river crossings are not the easiest. I could not resist to take some bathes during the resting times. The tiring part of the trail is overcompensated by spectacular canyon views as well as insights into local flora and fauna (do not be afraid of spiders and snakes, they might cross your path on the trail).Overall for people with some experience in hiking and not being a complete couch potato this trail is one of the highlights of the region's natural sites.
